I'm not a "lefty", am I allowed to read it?
I am, and I didn't.I'm not a "lefty", am I allowed to read it?
Somebody's been doing some self reflection....you'll be talking to a brick wall.
Not the one I had in mind, but thanks. The one I had in mind reappeared, abruptly changing the subject after things went badly for him on the last story he brought up.Herc got banned, actually.
Sigh. Yet again you expect others to waste their time, 43 minutes of it, to wade through a Spiked video. Why don'y *you* summarise the points supposedly made in the video, preferably with actual evidence. If these is any.<gibbersnippage>
For anyone who does watch this, if you want to discuss the FACTS and DETAILS of what these people went through, I'll be happy to oblige, but if all you're interested in doing is criticising the source, doing at hatchet job on the narrator/host or calling these victims liars, you'll be talking to a brick wall.
It's Spiked, what do you expect? The "magazine", right back to the LM days, has a long history of lying. And these days it's funded by the Kochs.Well, it's hardly irrelevant to point out that this channel appears to have an anti-trans, anti-immigrant, anti-BBC, anti-trans, anti-Mamdani, anti-Islam, anti-trans agenda.
So no, I for one will not be engaging with your content.
Ditto. Social democrat for decades, with a side of democratic socialist. If @smartcooky isn't willing to summarise his videos I see no reason to waste my time on them.I am, and I didn't.
Of course it's wilfil. They can't possibly approach anything like balance. It's not their job.Your last alt right story recently was found to have omitted key details, apparently willfully, if not by pure incompetence.
Yes, its me you are referring to... Let me set you straight on something. I didn't go silent because "things went badly". On the contrary things went exactly as I knew they would... no-one had courage to debate the facts and evidence. I simply have nothing to say anyone who wants to focus on questioning the sources rather than addressing facts and evidence. Summarily dismissing sources because their perceived bias is not skepticism, its tribalism. Well, I won't engage in tribalism... I read all sources from across the political spectrum and there are plenty of times I have seen leftist sources such as the Guardian and the BBC telling outright lies, and plenty of times I have seen rightist souces such as the Telegraph telling outright lies.... but I make those assessments AFTER I have read them, not before like most of the lefties here do. Its no wonder so many excellent skeptics have left this forum.. Its become an echo chamber for the left-wing cult, where anyone dares speak the heresy of any idea that isn't a part of the lefist groupthink gets dogpiled. Not the one I had in mind, but thanks. The one I had in mind reappeared, abruptly changing the subject after things went badly for him on the last story he brought up.
I don't expect anyone to do anything. I am certainly long past expecting completely closed-minded lefties to take any time out of their day to look at stuff that doesn't align with their narrow and limited worldview.Sigh. Yet again you expect others to waste their time, 43 minutes of it, to wade through a Spiked video. Why don'y *you* summarise the points supposedly made in the video, preferably with actual evidence. If these is any.
How odd - that's how I feel too.But I have no interest in debating anyone's personal bias against sources that don't align with their prejudiced preferred worldview.
Oh, the stench of hypocrisy arises again. Anyone who doesn't obediently waste their lives watching you unending stream (as I assume there will be more to come, rather than actual evidence for the claims) of right-wing propaganda is is one of the "closed-minded lefties" you decry.I don't expect anyone to do anything. I am certainly long past expecting completely closed-minded lefties to take any time out of their day to look at stuff that doesn't align with their narrow and limited worldview.
ETA: why should I take the time summarise anything for people who are too lazy to get out of their own way, and who won't even read the summary anyway. Better for me to just post the video and let those who don't want to watch marinate in their own pig-ignorance.
Oh, the stench of hypocrisy right back at ya.Oh, the stench of hypocrisy arises again. Anyone who doesn't obediently waste their lives watching you unending stream (as I assume there will be more to come, rather than actual evidence for the claims) of right-wing propaganda is is one of the "closed-minded lefties" you decry.
Oh well, better than being a close minded rightie....
And yet *you* expect to waste their time filtering your right-wing nonsense in search of evidence, because you won't do the work......Oh, the stench of hypocrisy right back at ya.
No-one has to obaey anything I say... obedience to the tribe... thats firmly in your bailiwick.
Many prior examples tell us this is very likely the case. And yet *you* expect to waste their time filtering your right-wing nonsense in search of evidence, because you won't do the work......
Or is it because there is no evidence there?

Um... I think you missed the actual criticism. Your source left out key facts and evidence. They were presented here. That's, um... pretty direct. When these facts and evidence were presented, you got quiet and then suddenly changed the subject.Yes, its me you are referring to... Let me set you straight on something. I didn't go silent because "things went badly". On the contrary things went exactly as I knew they would... no-one had courage to debate the facts and evidence.
Is anyone in Hyde Park delivering an impassioned atheistic indictment of Islam? Do any of us fancy the chances of whoever tried? It's been a long time since I was in the UK but I seem to remember that Hyde Park was famous for having a section where individuals could get up on a soap box and give speeches on any topic they fancied. Is that still a practice?
I don't know. I googled it and apparently "Speaker's corner" is still a thing in Hyde Park. I'm guessing that the number of topics that you could speak "freely" about before the police move in is a lot smaller than it used to be.Is anyone in Hyde Park delivering an impassioned atheistic indictment of Islam? You've never been able to engage in hate speech.I don't know. I googled it and apparently "Speaker's corner" is still a thing in Hyde Park. I'm guessing that the number of topics that you could speak "freely" about before the police move in is a lot smaller than it used to be.
