Trump's Second Term

And that's really just scratching the surface of what was wrong with that post. Other than what you mentioned, it's pretty much night and day, across the board, as any actual patriot can easily see. Biden and the Democrats worked hard to get us out of the ditch that Trump and the Republicans so gleefully drove us into, with the Republicans screaming the whole time about how things were so much more fun while they were recklessly careening about before driving us into the ditch and blaming the Democrats for how not fun it was to deal with the aftermath of their irresponsibility. That, while often actively fighting against actually responsible Democratic efforts to get the car out of the ditch and in working order. That applies to a bunch, really, though. The economy, America's health, and international relations, especially.

With that said, Progressives did not find Biden to be a particularly favored person from the start, so calling him "their old man" is an exercise in . Even if you go to Bernie, it's still dumb, because Bernie has shown every indication that he, too, would be working to put competent people who actually care about the US into power, rather than the gaggle of sycophantic psychos and fraudsters that Trump does. He'd be handling things like a mature adult who cares about the US, unlike Trump. That's a low bar that many could clear, of course, but not Republican candidates lately, for some reason.
If you want to see the obvious difference between the two old men, one need go no further than listening to Trump's vile racist rant at yesterday's fellate fest. Complete with reference to Barrack Hussein Obama, there is no reason for cultists and trumpsplainers to wear the mask anymore, just embrace Dear Leader's bigotry as your own.

Yeah, for that alone I'll take old man Biden over old man Trump any day of the week. I don't have the energy to list all the other reasons.

Joe Biden's fuel efficiency regulations would have raised the cost of a new vehicle by $1,000.

PRESIDENT TRUMP IS HITTING RESET- saving Americans $109 BILLION!

You're making cars cheaper to buy by letting them be less fuel efficient, which will make them more expensive to run.

(Back of an envelope time: A quick Google suggests Trump's watering down a 2031 target of 50mpg fleet average to about 34.5mpg. About, 6 cents/mile assuming $3 gasoline compared to 8.7 cents/mile. If the less fuel efficient car is $1,000 cheaper as claimed, the break even point is 37,000 miles. If you drive fewer miles on a car than that, you win with Trump's plan, if you drive further then you lose out.)

CNBC: Trump said he saw microcars over in the Asia -- 'Why don't we have these here?' There are reasons we don't see those vehicles. Will you change the rules so they can be built and driven on highways?

DUFFY: He called me after the meeting and said, 'Let's change the rules.' We're in the process.

If U.S. automakers hope to sell their cars overseas, they're just going to continue manufacuring fuel-efficient vehicles.

By changing the rules, they mean lowering safety standards.

Republikkkans: "We are getting rid of fuel efficiency standards"
Also Republikkkans: "Why won't other countries buy american vehicles?"

Plus, there are other reasons companies might not want to backtrack on fuel efficiency standards:
- A future (democratic) administration will probably re-establish them
- Some states (I am thinking California) may try setting their own fuel efficiency standards. (I am sure that will result in a messy legal battle.)

Sean Duffy on slashing fuel economy standards: "This rule will actually allow you to bring back the 1970s station wagon. Maybe a little wood paneling on the side. We can bring back choice to consumers."

People could have kept buying 1970s cars if they had wanted to. I mean, some of them are still around, so if you want one, what's stopping you?

Why not go the whole hog and reintroduce carburettors? And beautiful shiny lead in your fuel and air and lungs and kids brains.

Just out of curiosity, which rules does he mean?

Sleazebag Governor refuses to release a criminal.

@realDonald Trump
The SLEAZEBAG Governor of Colorado, Jared Polis, refuses to allow an elderly woman, Tina Peters, who was unfairly convicted of what the Democrats do, cheating on Elections, out of jail! ...She was preserving Election Records, which she was obligated to do under Federal Law.
So if anyone hacks in to a classified government system that they do not have access to, can they just claim they were doing so to "preserve records"?
On top of everything else, she is a cancer "survivor."
You mean being a cancer survivor gives you the authority to break the law? Great... I had cancer a few years ago. Excuse me while I go rob a few banks.

Also, why is "survivor" in quotes?

And, of course, there's the extra pollution and global warming from burning more fossil fuel in the less efficient engines, which affect everyone.
