Cont: The Marjorie Taylor Greene thread - Part II

I just wonder if enough Republicans turn against Trump and decide their careers are over anyway, could it reach the critical mass for them to finally consider the 25th Amendment.
Yes, I know, probably a snowballs chance in hell, but if they're really starting to get fed up to the point of resigning, what's stopping them from considering it?

The possibility of getting Charlie Kirked.

25th amendment? I would say unlikely.

That would require a significant part of the cabinet, and they probably have more loyalty to Trump than Congress critters. Plus, I suspect for many in cabinet this is the pinnacle/end point of their career. (I cannot see people like Bondi or noem being viable for any high office after this )

But what is possible that the republicans could lose control of the house early next year, if a few more decide to follow Greene out the door.

If the 25th hasn't been used yet, the time has probably passed. I suspect it would be contentious and uncertain, whereas it's pretty certain that Trump's tenure is on its way out. Better to hope for scraps, or find, as so many people in such situations seem to, that one wasn't really on his side at all. That guy there, he was the collaborator.

It's having a positive effect alright, but not for Trump Republicans. That's what we need to start calling them now - not MAGA. Trump may have the coined the phrase 'Make America Great Again" but he doesn't own it. Neither is he doing it, and the actual MAGA crowd are starting to realize they've been duped.

I especially agree with the bolded part. Too many he's appointed have been revealed for what they are; incompetent fools. People like Hegseth, RFK Jr., Linda McMahon, Kash Patel, Tulsi Gabbard, etc. are all horribly unqualified to do their jobs and it shows.
