I remember Lawrence Fox complaining about seeing Sikh troops in the trenches in the movie "1917" - "Now I have to know that!"
 
ITV has said it is in "preliminary" discussions to sell its broadcasting business to Sky for £1.6bn, a move that could reshape the UK's television landscape.

The talks focus on ITV's Media and Entertainment division, which includes its free-to-air TV channels as well as the ITV X streaming service.

The Home Office said it had recouped the money following a review of contracts after Labour came to power last year.

An emotional 100-year-old war veteran heartbreakingly declared that winning World War II ‘wasn’t worth it’ due to the state of the country at the moment.

 
My uncle Martin was on Malta Convoys and at the River Plate on Exeter. He finished his service in the 50s as a Fleet Chief.
He is the reason I joined the Navy.
He would have despised those using this poor old so and everyone like them

leaving aside the possible abuse of an elderly man its a nonsensical statement given that we were fighting actual Nazis and all those little things like the NHS, the welfare state, workers rights, minimum wage etc that people in the 1930s and 40s would have dismissed as pure fantasy.

Well, I never much liked champagne and alcohol isn't recommended with the medication I'm on at the moment, so I cant really answer the second part.

Regarding the first question, I reckon I'd probably take Brian Braidwood or a German expert.
