General UK politics VIII - The Last Tory

No, your allegations are not "documented". Minor CV padding at most and zero support for your (slanderous) assertion of theft.
Calling yourself senior economist at multiple successive jobs when you were in much more junior roles isn't minor padding. The equivalent for me would be to claim that I'm an Assistant Principal when I'm an Executive Officer.

Starting early, we haven't finished Poppy Rage yet.

They’re literally just called mince pies. When have the boxes ever said Christmas on them?

Lad's an Irish freeman (or close enough to make no difference). Gilroy founded the party Direct Democracy Ireland and was involved in a number of the mortgage negation scams that popped up over here after 2008.

Elon Musk: "These lovely small towns in England, Scotland, Ireland, are living their lives quietly [Like The Hobbits in The Shire] — until one day, a thousand people show up in your village of 500 out of nowhere and start r*ping the kids."
Yeah, but most likely only because they've heard a rumour that there are asylum seekers being housed in a hotel there.

Should someone point out go him that British people don't actually live in Famous Five books where everybody's comfortably middle class and white in lovely little country villages until the swarthy gipsies arrive and start kidnapping children?

Harrietsham parish council in Kent can't put up Christmas lights until the gammon take their flags down.

Harrietsham Parish Council

*****Christmas Lights on the A20*****

Kent County Council has now issued the permit for the Parish Council's Christmas lights to be installed along the A20 in the coming weeks. However, the approval comes with a condition that any flags currently on the streetlight columns must be removed before the lights can go up, as they pose a safety risk.

This condition from Kent County Council may result in the installation of the Christmas lights being unable to proceed as planned for 2025. Despite this, the Parish Council will still be liable for the hire cost, as the arrangements were in place before the permit was issued.

We feel it is important to make residents aware of the current position and the financial implications placed upon the Parish Council by the condition of the permit. Having taken the time to arrange these for the community, it will be disappointing if they cannot be installed in the coming weeks, but unfortunately this situation is beyond the Parish Council's control.

Thanks for that. Some people here in Denmark have started buying Teslas again, now that Elon is "out of politics". This is a useful reminder that he is not out of politics at all, just out of the limelight. Why is the right wing so upset about political influence of Soros (who has never AFAIK advocated for hate), while thinking it is quite OK for Elon to wield his fortune (which considerably bigger than Soros') to advocate for hate against immigrants and refugees.

Nigel lied.
Who would have guessed

Nigel Farage has rowed back from his party’s election promise to cut £90bn of taxes, accusing Labour and the Tories of “wrecking the public finances” and saying Reform UK would need to get public spending under control first.

The Reform leader rejected suggestions he had been forced to break manifesto promises in order to gain economic credibility, suggesting the proposal had only ever been an “aspiration”

Just came to post that one.

It's a list of yet more things the member for Innsmouth doesn't understand, like how public sector pensions work, how PIP works and more.

Nigel also said Reform could cut the minimum wage for young people, saying there is "an argument" that it is currently "too high".

Another one bites the dust.

Reform councillor Christine Parsonage has quit.

She didn't show up for a single council meeting.

Excuses given are a 'medical Condition ' and living more than 40 miles from the council offices.

Wasn't she the one who's partner also a Reform Ltd Councillor and who only stood as a paper candidate because they'd underestimated the stupidity of the voters?
