Out of curiousity, Ted, was it you who sent the post from Trump's account? If not, was it at your request that it was sent by the people managing Trump's account? If not that, was the request made by the people who are named in the post as the people who Trump is supposedly requesting?

The sad part is the trumpkins won't be willing or able to put it into perspective like this. They'll hear that China is buying soybeans by the millions and that Dump promises the terms favour the USA (as opposed to last time). That it's yet another botched TACO deal will be unknown to them.

While there might have been money laundering, Trump's casinos failed because they were over-leveraged (the Taj was funded with over 1/2 billion in junk bonds) and didn't have much appeal beyond having his name on them. He had some famous boxing matches and some guest stars but those didn't exactly make the casino break even. His Dad had to bail him out at least once and despite the fact Atlantic City casinos were making serious bank in that era, he couldn't earn enough to pay off the debts.

So yeah, he lost money because he's a bad businessman.

His father was illegally funnelling funds in to keep the casino afloat. The moron invested a fortune to compete with himself in a limited market.

The reason TACO lost so much money was that he built one casino and neglected it (because it was built for the market and not snazzy enough for him), so he leveraged himself massively built a second, oversized and overly snazzy, one next door and all the two casinos did was drive each other under.

The first would have worked well enough if he'd given his staff enough money and leeway to work it properly.
