When I need a break from all this political crap, I go to my FB feed for laughs. I stay far away from all the politics there because it's my safe space, but the following random picture from an "Antifa, Republicans, Democrats & Independents United Against Trumpism" group made me literally laugh out loud (although not enough to actually roll on the floor while doing it):

Nearly all Utahns vote by mail, and have done so for many years. It's wildly popular and incurs only a negligible rate of unlawful votes. And Republicans still manage to win nearly every election they participate in.

I'm sure Pres. Trump very much believes that he can just coerce all the states to conduct their elections the way he demands, regardless of the Constitution and/or state and federal election laws. And sadly, Sen. Mike Lee and our toadie legislature and governor will probably just cave in and eliminate our very popular and effective voting system.

Pentagon orders aircraft carrier to Latin America as Trump signals escalation

The Pentagon on Friday signaled a major expansion of its military campaign against “Transnational Criminal Organizations” in Latin America, saying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has ordered the aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford and its associated warships to the region in coming days.

Sean Parnell, a spokesman, said in a statement that the expanded military presence aims not only to “disrupt narcotics trafficking” throughout the Western Hemisphere but to “degrade and dismantle” the criminal groups that operate there.
