Wow, UK has lost freedom of speech

I don't think he understands the difference.

That's what happened here, hence the exclusion zones.

We have had some, errrrrrrrrr, lack of clarity about issues in both the Republic and the Six Counties (and I didn't even mention anything to do with transplantation, which is how my lowland Scottish proddy ancestors ended up over there before bailing post-famine and finding themselves down holes in the ground in Co Durham).

USAians tend to be worse; ignorant, unwilling to learn and prone to pontificating.

I was once told, in an "Irish" bar in California, that I couldn't have Irish ancestry as my accent was English (mind, they had to be told that my accent was an English one, rather than the usual assumption of Australian - Novaphile, to name but one, will tell you that my accent is nowt like any Strine accent).

Fortunately my freedom of speech was respected. Mostly because I dropped into Pitmatic and none of them had a clue.

Actually, it was very well respected when I lived in the Republic and everyone I met took as they found (it was 1980...), to the point that I was bought loads of pints of stout by the Irish Navy (canny lads, the lot of them).

Free stout FTW!

I always avoid "Irish" bars, they attract idiots.

It used to be supplied when donating blood too.

How the ◊◊◊◊ do you prevent someone from throwing a rock at a abortion clinic window, if you don't know he is carrying a rock in his pocket until he takes it out to throw it?
By making him stand far away? Say, 490 feet or so? Just a suggestion.

And while you're at it, please will you go metric? These feet make no sense; whose feet? Feet can vary far too much, and also, why not foot - if feet, are they side by side, or one in front if the other?

And don't get me started on Fahrenheit...

He seems to recently switched to miles. Still not metric though.
