i’m not recommending you say anything you don’t want to say. i think it’s reasonable to hold people to their words, actions, and the company they keep. and i’m over the whole don’t call them nazis because its causing violence bit. it’s enough.

I would not expect to hear Nazis complaining about Islam (given their alliance with the Grand Mufti) nor about slitting the throat of America (given the state of war). They would like the part about rejecting feminism, though that isn't exactly what makes them distinctive.

Perhaps you are not trying to paint Kirk as a Nazi in an attempt to make his death seem more justifiable, though.

Perhaps instead you just wanted us to know that he had a lot of terrible ideas which in no way distinguish him from the MAGA activists who are still breathing.

Nazis hate everyone that isn't one of their own.
They may make an alliance but will turn on the that ally when they have outlived their usefulness.
They will even turn on their own if they think it gives an advantage.

I would be absolutely shocked if Turning Point and Young Republicans didn't work hand-in-hand several times over the years. Creating young republicans was pretty much Kirk's schtick throughout his entire life. I would wager that no one was surprised when the story leaked.

Sorry, was there a point in this post somewhere that I happened to miss? I don't think anyone is saying the killer should be freed. He did a crime, he needs to be punished for that crime, and that's what's happening right now. Are you sad that people here aren't mourning the loss of Kirk up to your standards?

That's not what he was. He was the front man for a Christian Nationalist organisation. Nothing to do with secularism, agnosticism, reason, humanism, or logic.
 
it’s part of the debate about whether or not his critics descriptions of the political movement he propagandized for had inspired someone to want to kill him
