Merged Charlie Kirk shot at Utah Valley University event. / Charlie Kirk Shot And Killed

Crimes against whom? If the purported victim was the nation itself and the punishments mentioned are the punishments for treason, I don't see how we can reasonably conclude Kirk was thinking of anything other than treason.
You are attributing thought and reason to a knee-jerk ◊◊◊◊ - stirrer.

He said:
Joe Biden is a bumbling, dementia-filled Alzheimer's, corrupt, tyrant who should honestly be put in prison and/or given the death penalty for his crimes against America.
Biden was bumbling, dementia-filled, yet should be put to death (or imprisoned) for a crime for which Kirk could not possibly prove. It seems he was operating from emotion and hatred rather than reason. It was also good for listens, clicks, and views.

Every holy book from the Abrahamic tradition justifies hatred against outgroup members.

Crimes against whom? If the purported victim was the nation itself and the punishments mentioned are the punishments for treason, I don't see how we can reasonably conclude Kirk was thinking of anything other than treason.
Since treason is spelled out in the Constitution, then wouldn't you expect Kirk to present some kind of idea how how Biden committed it? His bare assertion is akin to just saying execute him.

Are you claiming that Democrats haven't been calling Republicans and conservatives Nazis and fascists? Because otherwise, this looks like a tu quoque.

First of all, that's a blanket statement, and those are usually (if not always) lies. Doesn't give you much credibility.

And second of all, prove every single dem says that, and then I'll believe you.

Agreed, but you aren't considering the possibility that hatred can be rooted in specific false beliefs. Once people got the idea of "crimes against America" from the MAGA meme machine (which has been pushing the idea that their opponents aren't just wrongheaded but actually treasonous for several years running) the hate follows naturally therefrom.

If I thought he was more than a mouthpiece for popular MAGA memes, I would indeed expect that.

You keep skipping over the trial and imprisonment phases of the process, presumably in an attempt to make Kirk look even more hateful than he already does.

That makes his call for imprisonment/execution for imagined crimes even worse.

The problem was his influence with a generation that hasn't yet shown an ability to critically think. Maybe that's too big a brush, but maybe not.

Absolutely not. I demonstrated with quotes that the right wing was equally responsible for such rhetoric. To pretend othewise is gaslighting.
First, I made no claim about what the right was or was not doing, so you are misrepresenting me, which is basically gaslighting on your part. Second, all your quotes are from one guy. If you want to actually demonstrate that the right is equally responsible for such rhetoric, then you would need to do more than quote just one guy. But again, my claim had nothing to do with what the right is or isn't doing, so even if you were to actually do all that, it wouldn't be relevant as a response to my post.

Kirk skipped over the process, not me. His words say that Biden should be imprisoned for life or put to death because of his crimes. He does not say that he should be tried for his crimes.

This is a very odd reply given that Resume was only quoting from one Republican, and making a "blanket statement" on that basis. You sure you don't want to rethink this post?

No, your claims are that Kirk's murder was a direct result of dems calling certain repubs fascist while ignoring the rhetoric from the right.

This is rich. The guy I quoted is currently the most influential repub with Trump's ear. ◊◊◊◊, Vance called his boss America's Nazi. This stuff is all across the political spectrum and to ignore that fact is bull ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊.

Nope, I stand by my statement.

BTW, which post are you talking about from Resume.

They're nothing like yours, because yours ASSumes ALL democrats do that.

Once Dems started adopting the Nazi and fascist rhetoric for their political opponents, it was just a matter of time until someone on the left actually killed one of these people accused of being a Nazi fascist.
I have to ask. Do you honestly believe this? Do you honestly believe in your heart of hearts that the majority of violent rhetoric is coming from the left side of the political spectrum?

There are multiple documented studies and reviews that show just the opposite and you yourself have cherry-picked evidence to support your claims while ignoring events that don't.

For any objective observer, it just looks like gaslighting but there is a part of me that thinks people like you that try this argument actually believe it somehow. I can't imagine living life being so dishonest to yourself let alone others.

A. Senator Jim should be killed because I don't like him.
B. Senator Jim should be killed for the crimes he committed (but he didn't really commit them, I just made that up because I don't like him).

Anyone who thinks there's an important distinction between A and B is a fool. Please don't fall for it.

Being dishonest with themselves is what egoist do.

Convenient, that. We all know why you aren't bringing up the right, because they say way worse ◊◊◊◊ than the left does. They've been calling the left evil for years. Hell, the guy who leads the GOP constantly calls the left evil and vilifies them as much as possible.

I remember it was only about 10 years ago when America watched the GOP lose its spine on national television. It was the first debate and we watched every GOP rep that wanted to be POTUS become bootlickers the moment Trump mocked them.

There is a certain irony in using the phrase "I just made that up" here, given that you just made this up.

In reality, the Biden treason meme originated from the top down rather than from the fertile imagination of the campus mouthpiece guy.
