Trump's Second Term

He will evacuate his bowels and turn himself inside out through his arse if he sees the Indian Republic Day parade.
I am sure he expected a parade similar to the French parade or the British Trooping the Colour ceremony.
Even the daily Changing of the Guard at Buckingham and St James has a better parade to and from the Palaces.

He wanted cavalry in shiny helmets and breastplates, guardsmen in colourful uniforms and plenty of swagger.

Notice when he came to the UK, the King put on an extra impressive guard of honour for him.

I bet he was thinking why don't I have a guard like this?
Whole regiments of them.

The right wing crazy-o-sphere is going coo-coo for Coco Puffs over the escalator/teleprompter thingee, which seems to be the fault of Trump's own people, but the buffoons like Ingraham or Kilmeade or Watters are floating a U.N. conspiracy. Karoline Lievitt even threatened personal vengance. All of this is ridiculous of course and I don't know how many, if any, believe this crap, but isn't it lovely that all these talking heads are carrying his water, no matter how stupid. Of course they are quite experienced at this and quite good at it as well. Their audience will be posting social media whinging about withdrawing from the U.N. and kicking them out of the country. Watters talked about bombing or gassing the U.N., but it's the left wing fomenting violence. This is all so silly, but 40% (+/-) believe this bull ◊◊◊◊.

They could be drawn from his political supporters, a 'Republican Guard' so to speak. It would go with Chemical Ali ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ Barbie

They already have The Base (or Al-Q'aida, if you translate it to Arabic).

A good way to subvert that would be to have a parade of people in WWII uniforms, featuring some surviving contemporary vehicles and aircraft. Celebrate the last defeat of fascism. Perhaps even have references or imagery of the death of fascist leaders like Hitler and Mussolini.

Many of them literally believe black people burned down entire cities in 2020, despite there being literally no evidence for this besides some cherry-picked images of burning buildings (you'd expect the images of said burning cities would be broadcast 24/7 like the footage of the planes hitting on 9/11, and that there would be countless stories from evacuees, photos of whole cities in ruins, and endless discussion on how best to rebuild the cities, etc., but no, nothing, but nothing is needed because they're in a cult and believe even outlandish things like that). Trying to get them to accept facts they don't like is probably damned near impossible at this point.

... Or declare war on escalator manufacturers. When they make a movie about the war, it has to be called Schindlers Lifts or the whole thing will have been for nothing.
There's an actual lift company called Schindler's Lifts.

"They'll be laughing on the other side of their faces when I spend minutes on end repeating somebody else's lies at them without the slightest hint of shame!"

It was sabotage!

...Entirely plausible that it was sabotage, honestly. Republicans sorta have this M.O. where they sabotage things and then complain loudly about how bad the things that they sabotaged are while blaming others with inane justifications for doing so.

I can't believe that every stupid person in the US voted for you, you lying, fat sack of potato crap.

No need to believe that! Stupid is far more ubiquitous and situational than any of us probably likes, after all.

The thing is, the US would be the laughing stock of the world if it weren't for the fact that this idiotic manchild has his hands on nuclear launch codes, the military has been stripped of commanders willing to say no and he's advised by fundamentalist Christians who'd love to start Armageddon.

Since when did those things stop something from being a laughingstock? That just means that the underlying lack of respect gets masked a bit.

As a small addendum to this - sometimes those images were from half the country away and years in the past.
