I'm in Seattle so Kimmel was pulled here, but those idiots are stupid if they think we weren't able to see it anyway.

He didn't start off with the Epstein files (like some of us here were hoping), but he did mention it later.

Paraphrasing: They'll have to release the Epstein files just to distract everyone from this free-speech outrage.

This has been a sleight of hand perpetrated by the right in which they conflate politics with morality so that they can frame being opposed to their immorality as a political disagreement, thus sanitizing their immorality.

Republican lawmakers told Fox News they plan to introduce legislation to honor assassinated conservative activist Charlie Kirk by printing his image on new silver dollar coins.

The bill would call on the U.S. Treasury to print 400,000 of the coins, GOP Representatives August Pfluger of Texas and Abe Hamadeh of Arizona told Fox News. In addition to Kirk's image, the coins would include the message, "well done, good and faithful servant."

Oh my word…

Look guys, there is no Epstein files and the shooter is not a Groyper.

Besides, Trump has already shifted the narrative by appearing like a gibbering loon at the United Nations and making an insane Truth Social post about how Ukraine is going to get all of its land back “and more!”.

The good news though is that this should serve as an example not to capitulate to him in future like so many of the news media and universities already has done.

I think one thing that came out of his visit to the UN today is that a lot of languages figured out how to say "blithering idiot"

When their countries asked, "What did you learn from Trump?" they will respond, "That he is a moron."

Kirk was silenced because he platformed (hateful) political speech, that is, for exercising his 1st Amendment rights.

It's a common meme in right wing circles that the second amendment protects the first; hopefully some of them will see the irony here.
