Trump's Second Term

I want to preface this by saying that I completely and wholeheartedly agree with what you're saying in that there is no reason to resort to violence. I feel like I say this a lot, and it should be known I'm not just trying to be a contrarian.

While I absolutely don't condone it, I understand it. Some of these people lose their kids, spouses of decades with little to no warning and I can understand the emotional distress that would lead someone to do something like this. Again, I'm not saying it's right, but I've seen V for Vendetta...people can only be pushed so far before they view violence as the only answer. Some of these people have followed the rules to be here their whole lives only to be upended by a Trumpian temper tantrum. Some of these people even voted for him. It's a crazy timeline.
Yet, for all the rhetoric about this being anti-ice, it appears it was 3 detainees shot. Hmmmm....

Exactly this. Had it been ICEStapo officers dying, I really don't care (do you?), and objectively their deaths would probably have been a net improvement for America. Also, the shootings are probably a result of both the polarization the GOP has been working hard towards, and the atrocities at the hands of ICE, especially since Dump was elected and gave them a blank check. Should the shooting have happened, though? Of course not. I don't condone shooting law enforcement officers and I know this is already being misrepresented by the far-right and will be used to stoke even more fear and anger, and lead to more rapid infringement of Americans' rights and retaliatory violence --such as the shooting of detainees at an ICE facility.

Yet, for all the rhetoric about this being anti-ice, it appears it was 3 detainees shot. Hmmmm....

Trumpkins: POST DOUBLEPLUSWOKE REF UNEVENTS SURRENDER FOR DEPORTATION

I noticed that too and immediately assumed that the ICE agents used them as human shields...and I'm only partially kidding about that.

It does seem odd that they targeted the ICE facility with a sniper rifle and didn't hit anyone that worked there.

To repeat my earlier comment 'Not if this is someone convinced that anyone who's been detained by ICE is a thief/rapist/murderer released from a foreign insane asylum and sent illegally to the US'. Obviously the lefty, woke, Dumbocrat court system is going to stop that heroic and manly President Trump who definitely doesn't have a small penis from deporting them so there's only one thing left to do..

Exactly, so I ask again, why is it being labeled "anti-ICE"? Wouldn't a person that felt the way you describe be happy they are being detained and deported?

Maybe they thought concentration camps is going soft on them and they should really just be summarily executed with a bullet to the neck. They don't even use Zyklon B in El Salvador or Alligator Alcatraz, smdh. I want my lampshades made of human skin, goddammit!

Not if this person thanks that ICE is being too nice to them.

Actually, I am also stomped by this. If the shooter is against ICE, he should not shoot the detainees. It doesn't make sense. But the MAGAs will still use it as a call to arms anyway.

Most of them are just doing their job, and I do care about what their loved ones will have to go through if they're killed, and besides, this is more the fat clown's fault than ICE as a whole.

Not everyone in ICE is a POS.

It just reminds me of that time a few years ago in Seattle when three cops were killed in a Starbucks because the shooter hated cops.

You know, the shooter might have been just stupid. Or bad shot. Let's not jump to conclusions, again.
I agree. I'm just pointing out that although this case is all over the ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ place, the right has decided to narrowly focus on this being an anti-ICE attack.

And so it begins.

Fox News anchor Bill Hemmer made a curious connection when he insisted that Jimmy Kimmel never said “I’m sorry” following a discussion on the Wednesday shooting at a Dallas ICE facility.

Three people at an ICE facility were shot by a gunman on the roof of an adjacent building on Wednesday morning. The victims were reportedly detainees, though law enforcement did not confirm this on Wednesday. Authorities did confirm, however, that no officers were injured in the shooting. One of the victims died at the scene, and the shooter died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The now-deceased shooter who targeted a Dallas, Texas, ICE facility wrote “anti-ICE” messages on his rounds, according to the FBI.

Hemmer appeared as the “one lucky guy” during the opinion program Outnumbered, and closed a segment focused on the shooting and the anti-ICE message they reported contained.

This is why Jimmy Kimmel needed to say, ‘I’m sorry. And he didn’t.'” Hemmer insisted, tying the anti-ICE violence to Kimmel’s controversial monologue from Tuesday night. “And he needs to. He needs to call Erica Kirk and talk to her. And he needs to go on his program and say, I had this lovely conversation with this grieving widow. And this is what we discussed. That’s the proper way you manage this. And that did not happen.”

They're gonna keep this up.

FBI Director Kash Patel, who was in the Dallas area for a “prescheduled visit” this morning, said in an X post that the initial investigation “shows an ideological motive behind this attack.” He included in the post a picture of unspent shell casings that he said were recovered from the scene, with one appearing to read “ANTI-ICE.” Patel went on to write that the “despicable, politically motivated attacks against law enforcement are not a one-off,” adding the FBI will continue investigating the incident.

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem posted on X that this morning’s “horrendous killings must serve as a wake-up call to the far-left that their rhetoric about ICE has consequences. Comparing ICE Day-in and day-out to the Nazi Gestapo, the Secret Police, and slave patrols has consequences.”

On the ground in Dallas, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) vehemently condemned all forms of political violence. “Violence has no place. It is wrong. If we want to have a debate about immigration we can do so in the halls of Congress,” he told reporters at the scene this morning.

He also sharply rebuked partisan rhetoric that he said led to today’s shooting. “To every politician who is using rhetoric demonizing ICE and demonizing CBP: stop. To every politician demanding that ICE agents be doxxed and calling for people to go after their families: stop. This has very real consequences,” Cruz said.

ICE is paying well. However, it is well known that ICE is Trump's stormtroopers. Anyone willing to do evil just to get paid is also evil. So ya, I agree with your sentiment. Just following orders is not a reason to continue doing bad things.

I feel sorry for anyone's family who is killed, be it an ICE agent, a cop, right winger, left winger, or just your ordinary, everyday fireman who was trying to protect his family.

The loved ones who have to deal with their deaths are innocents caught in the crossfire, and I will NOT cheer on anyone's death or potential death.

Why? Because the dead can't hear you anyway, but their loved one's can.
