I don't read or hear that statement the way you apparently do, my understanding of it is not that it's claiming he was maga, but the (purely factual) statement that they immediately started claiming he was a left winger, or trans or a member of some other group that was not them. It's about them not him.

what you're saying here, that's literally what he said. the only commentary kimmel offered on kirk was stating the fact that he was murdered. the rest of his joke was commentary on maga. it's in black and white, plain as day.

In July 2021, Kirk made remarks about Biles on his internet-hosted "The Charlie Kirk Show." During his show, he provided his thoughts about the breaking news of Biles withdrawing from participating in further competition during the COVID-delayed 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

At the time, The Associated Press (AP) and ESPN reported about Biles' withdrawing for mental health reasons. The AP and ESPN subsequently published articles about her experiencing the "twisties" — the term for a gymnast's sudden mental inability to compete with the requisite spins for a particular maneuver.

On Kirk's July 27, 2021, show, he began his segment about Biles by saying he didn't know whether anyone had ever sexually assaulted her, more than three years after Biles said ex-U.S. Olympic gymnastics team doctor Larry Nassar had molested her. Judges sentenced Nassar to jail for what essentially amounted to a life sentence following allegations of sexually assaulting nearly 160 victims. Kirk said:

So, Simone Biles. I don't know her politics. I don't. I just know that she's being shown on television a lot. I don't know if she was ever sexually assaulted or abused. So, I don't, I don't know what she's been through. I seriously, I mean that sincerely. However, I'm going to say this. Don't show up to the Olympics and compete if you're not ready for the big moments.

Kirk then railed against Biles for withdrawing from further competition, calling her "you selfish sociopath," "weak," "very selfish," "immature," "a shame to the country," "totally a sociopath, of course she's a sociopath" and "a disgrace." Kirk's comments about Biles begin at the 54:03 mark in the full episode, available on Rumble.com.

On the next day, Kirk reposted (archived) a video displaying his remarks on X and added, "Just so we're clear—I stand by every word of this."

I don't think it is farfetched that Kirk's outspoken rhetoric on trans and LBGTQ people was a possible source of Robinson's view that he espoused "hatred" So does that mean he had left wing ideology?

It would only mean that Robinson aligns with left wing ideology on specific questions like "Should same-sex relationships and gender nonconformity be stigmatized?" That's a pretty uncontroversial position to take these days, though.

One issue?

If you need five letters to roll together three sexual orientations and two other forms of gender nonconformity, you're probably talking about more than one issue. I guess you could lump them together under the unifying rubric of "not obeying traditional gender norms" but that's so overbroad as to include men who cook dinner because their wives are at a professional conference.

Can any other issue be demonstrated that makes Robinson a "leftist"?

There was another individual like Charlie who was around for 30 years or so and did threaten an institution. My brother told me about this Rush fellow on the radio and that I should give him a listen. I later found out his last name was Limbaugh, but never listened.

My brother told me that liberals tried to compete with Limbaugh and failed. Rush laughed at the attempt and said that they did not understand that he was first and foremost an entertainer and secondarily a political and social commentator.

Someone could have done exactly what Charlie Kirk was doing. A secular statist could have set up a tent at a university and expounded upon the wonders of centralized government. But like me 55 years ago, those college kids were already subjected to those teachings in their economics and political science courses. So, like the attempt to compete on the radio, this most likely would have failed.
