No. I just know what it means to quote someone. And when they don't do it, I don't claim that they did, because, for one thing, that would be a lie. And for another, claiming that someone quotes Hitler (who has almost surely never read Hitler) is essentially calling them a Nazi.
And labeling your political opponents "Nazis" and "fascists," as "progressives" do ad nauseam, is the first step in justifying violence against them. And if you don't think support for political violence is mainly a problem on the left, then you are ignorant of the facts. In a survey just out today, when asked, "Do you think it is ever justified for citizens to resort to violence in order to achieve political goals?" fully one in four (25%) of those who rate themselves "very liberal" answered "Yes, violence can sometimes be justified," compared to an almost trivial 3% of those who rate themselves "very conservative."
