Merged Charlie Kirk shot at Utah Valley University event. / Charlie Kirk Shot And Killed

this is the "wet cement" phase of news about an act of violence that influencers thrive on: in the absence of any actual information, they will make up stuff that they supposedly heard from the "inside sources", not caring for a bit whether they are right or wrong - it has to be the most click-baity so that their rant will get the most attention and thus is most likely to be picked up elsewhere and amplified.

(Kirk stated) Children should witness executions and that these should be made public. "Death penalties should be public, should be quick, it should be televised. I think at a certain age, it's an initiation..." he said, adding that the crime rate would decrease if children had seen an execution.
Daily Mail
That should prompt Trump to have the execution (via hungry lions in a pit, of course) put on PPV with Joe Rogan doing the commentary.
and of course all proceeds to benefit the Trurmp 2028 Campaign.
Only in America!

And the US moves closer to mass polirical violence.
I am afriad Trump will use this as his Reichstag fire.

I have not checked, but I already suspect the Conspiracy kooks, both left and right, are already going crazy with this.

MAGA racing driver Danica Patrick is "freightend" of this leading to a civil war. Where have we heard that before?

Maybe you're both right. If so, why can't both sides meet in the middle and chill the ◊◊◊◊ out?

If he was actually using a 30-06 rifle at 150-200 yards, then I suspect the shooter was aiming for the chest and went high. Knowing so little about the incident means I'm speculating too much right now.
I concur.
From my own experience shooting at that range in competition aiming for a head is only for the movies.

For in depth demonstrations of actual practical accuracy of rifles out to 500 yards and what is achievable by an actual, skilled shooter and ex Marine marksman, watch the 9-Hole Reviews channel.

Each episode shows a different rifle on a range with match ammunition and a spotter correcting aim.
There are just a handful of very specialised rifles that can consistently group accurately enough to reliability hit a head sized target first shot at that range.

It will live on after the facts are known and form the conspiracy theories that are telling us the 'real truth' they covered up.

Meanwhile on the supposed trans messages on the cartridges.

Tell me it wasn't the manufacturer's stamp?
It's a lie. It wasn't the manufacturer's stamp. First of all, no details about the markings on the ammunition have been disseminated, so how would anybody know that the marking that the FBI was referring to was "TRN"? Secondly, the FBI would, obviously, know the difference between a standard manufacturer's stamp and an engraving added after manufacture. Thirdly, according to their website, Turan does not even manufacture a .30-06 cartridge!

Parabellum, from the Latin si vis pacem, para bellum (“if you want peace, prepare for war”).

It was engraved on the original Luger pistols as a company motto.

Speaking of: it's weird that celebrities don't wear one of those tank round proof suits from John Wick - they look comfy and snappy.

I have seen some reports (unverified, so you know, caveat emptor) that the 'markings' on the ammunition were "a series of arrows". Quite how that gets interpreted as any kind of ideological message is slightly beyond me, but maybe those with famiarity with ammunition and standard markings will know more, if they are just standard stamps etc.

Perhaps they are to help gun users know which way to point the ammunition...

There are no arrows on ammunition. But more to the point, use your brain: how the ◊◊◊◊ would anybody know what the marks that the FBI found on the ammunition were given that the FBI has not released that information? At the time of this posting, anybody who claims to know what the engravings were is lying, since that information has not yet been made public.
