The Truth about RFK Jr

Quick thoughts on folate, which is reported to be coming up in the HHS discussion of autism. Folate (folic acid) is one of the B vitamins; vitamins are nutrients required in small quantities. it has to be converted into tetrahydrofolate in order to be a coenzyme, an organic helper molecule for enzymes. The process of converting folate into THF requires four electrons. Tetrahydrofolate carries one-carbon units for biosynthesis (especially in nucleic acid biosynthesis), and it can donate electrons in certain instances. 5-formyltetrahydrofolate is one of several forms of this coenzyme in which the one-carbon fragment is attached; folinic acid is a synonym. I don't have any information on how folate metabolism or a deficiency in folate might be linked to autism.

What top-ranking government official, a Cabinet-level officer no less, can you think of whose own family has publicly called for them to resign? That they are incompetent and dangerous. That there's "something wrong" with them.

Only one comes to mind. Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. Yesterday, in the wake of his disastrous appearance before the Senate -- one senator asked for Kennedy to be sworn in first because of his "history of lying" but the GOP members voted it down -- members of the Kennedy family once again spoke out.

His nephew Joe Kennedy III, a former Democratic congress member from Massachusetts.
“Robert Kennedy Jr. is a threat to the health and wellbeing of every American. A United States Secretary of Health and Human Services is tasked with protecting the public health of our country and its people,” Joe Kennedy III wrote in a Friday post on social platform X. “At [Thursday's] hearing, he chose to do the opposite: to dismiss science, mislead the public, sideline experts and sow confusion. None of us will be spared the pain he is inflicting,” he continued, referencing the health secretary’s appearance at a congressional hearing Thursday.

Next up, his own sister, Kerry Kennedy, warned the public about her brother:
“Medical decisions belong in the hands of trained and licensed professionals, not incompetent and misguided leadership. The decimation of critical institutions, like the NIH [National Institutes of Health] and the CDC [Centers for Disease Control and Prevention], will lead to the loss of innocent lives. This means that children, mothers, fathers, and those you love are at risk now, like never before,” Kerry Kennedy wrote in a post on X. “Enough is enough. Secretary Kennedy must resign. Now.” The Hill article link

A surrealistic nightmare of our own making!

I'm going to have to update my signature to include malpractice and general incompetence.

Folic acid deficiency in pregnancy is associated with developmental abnormalities in particular spina bifida
In the UK women are encouraged to take 400mcg supplement of folic acid daily. It's important not to take too much (the usual non pregnancy dose is 5mg) as excess folic acid intake in pregnancy may be associated with increased risk of autism. Some people with ASD may have abnormalities of folic acid metabolism and some may benefit from folic acid supplements. There is no definitive evidence.

JD Vance
@JDVance

When I see all these senators trying to lecture and "gotcha" Bobby Kennedy today all I can think is:
You all support off-label, untested, and irreversible hormonal "therapies" for children, mutilating our kids and enriching big pharma. You're full of ◊◊◊◊ and everyone knows it.

And JD Maybelline is gonna provide details and proof any day now...

The age of proof is long gone.
Just make some ◊◊◊◊ up and present it in a 'gotcha' badass statement.

BTW, thanks to technology that made 280 characters limit the new standard of human communication. Dumbing down to the lowest denominator.

No analysis or projection, it's about right and wrong.

TAPPER: Hepatitis A, whooping cough, and chickenpox cases are rising in Florida. Before you made this decision to try to lift vaccine mandates for Florida, did your department do any data analysis of how many new cases of these diseases there will be with no vaccine mandates?

JOSEPH LADAPO: Absolutely not

TAPPER: You didn't even do a projection?

LADAPO: It's an issue of right and wrong

How does this asswipe still have a medical license? He's going to kill people.

Fired CDC Director Susan Monarez has used the Rupert Murdoch-owned Wall Street Journal to attack the Trump administration over its vaccine policy.

In a blistering op-ed in the newspaper, Monarez accused the government of “sabotaging” vaccine policy and pressuring her to “compromise science”—and, in doing so, putting children’s lives at risk.

Monarez—who was dismissed last week after refusing to agree to what she described as Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s “deliberate effort to weaken America’s public-health system and vaccine protections”—declared: “I served for 29 days as director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention… for doing that, I lost my job. America’s children could lose far more.”

The op-ed in the link above may be paywalled to you.

You couldn't pick a bigger ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ idiot for this job! What the ever-living ◊◊◊◊ is wrong with this guy???

I'm thinking quite a lot; I hope there are consequences for this disgusting asswipe.

Between climate change, hurricanes, a failing housing market and overall economy, Florida is ◊◊◊◊◊◊. Despot DeSantis, a Trump micro-mini me, is mimicking his mentor, doing to his state what Trump is doing to the country. Florida is chock-full of retirees, senior citizens, but lacks any adults to rein in the absolute idiots. I wonder if there'll be a U.S. left in a century's time, when half the peninsula is under water. I lived there for a brief period after I got my bachelors, and could already see where the politics were headed. I am so ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ happy I got out.

These ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ childish idiots. Most of us learn as we grow older that being a part of a viable society means more than just reaping its benefits, it also requires assuming some responsibility toward it. If these people don't want to get vaccines for themselves or for their children, nobody is going to hold them down and force them to have them. But then they should understand that you don't get to endanger that society and still smugly claim a full part in it- if they want to separate themselves, they should have the balls to do it all the way.

Not vaxxing your kids and sending them to public schools is akin to drunk driving. Kids are plague rats; we know this, Ladapo knows this; what this maniac doesn't know is right from wrong.
