General Israel/Palestine discussion thread - Part 4

You know, lionking, I realized something regarding the above (disgustingly expressed) hatred of Bibi Netanyahu ---- it ignores the internal dynamics of the Israeli electorate.
Gantz is polling right now to not even enter the Knesset (i.e. -Blue And White will disappear)
Bennett, a decent man, was the first person in more than a decade to unseat Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu (2021). Now, it looks like he'll try to do that again.
Liberman loathes Bibi, and intends to put his feet to the fire in the next elections.
Yossi Cohen is also thinking of ways to remove Netanyahu as Israel's leader.

Pro Palestinian demonstrators disrupted last night's Proms concert.

We're seeing what "Globalize the Intifada" looks like.
Big money is being poured into that effort.

How it actually assists Palestinians is anyone's guess.

In Lebanon, two things just occurred that are quite dramatic alterations to the 'status quo' ----
One, those paper-tigers at UNIFIL are being disbanded.
Two, Palestinian militia groups are being disarmed.

I'm here to tell everyone, from the bottom of my heart, if both Syria and Lebanon manage to jump into the Abraham Accords it will be the best thing ever to happen for Palestinians.

And that nasty dictator in Turkey better be careful, and not cross any red lines.
He's not immune from anything that might happen to him, out of the blue!
The Palestian militias were disarmed in the 1980s. You seem ignorant of the facts. I thought the concern was about Hezbollah? (Hezbollah is not a Palestinian group, it is a Shia Lebanese group; nearly all Palestinians are Sunni Muslim or Christian, not Shia)

It is worth remembering Turkey is a member of NATO, an attack on one member of NATO is an attack on all.

So why is the news today saying otherwise? Please, educate us more... I mean, as arthwollipot notes, we're just spouting propaganda, having no facts or reality to base it on. Prove him right, if you want. Point out why my comment is inaccurate and I'll retract... (I'm not ususally wrong in my stuff here, but maybe TheArabNews website is a bad source, and cannot be trusted to report accurately, and is spouting misinformation now?)

US won't let the PA leadership travel to New York for the UN General Assembly.

P-A leadership is now persona-non-grata in America and these banned PLO representatives can go grovel to the Belgians or the Dutch or the French for their 'recognition' and see where it gets them.

And just so everyone knows the stakes here, POTUS is like an inch away from revoking permission of the entire UN enterprise from remaining in Turtle Bay at all. Donald Trump may close the building down, and let that body's H-Q and General Asssembly relocate into Berlin, or Madrid, or even Belfast.

As for NATO and Turkey, I'm not worried about it. Israel would likely take out Erdogan in such a way to provide plausible deniability, and no 'smoking gun' to implicate Mossad. (What? He died in a horrible fiery car-crash? How is THAT our fault?)

Why do you make up such ridiculous, pathetic, ignorant lies? Do you have ANY evidence for this whatsoever??

So you think Israel has now decided to murder Prime Ministers all of the place? Sounds like a blood libel to me.

Erdogan is not the 'Prime Minister' -- he's the President.

Using previous history as something to go by, yes, Israel is willing and able to eliminate many top-level operatives of our enemies. Why would Erdoğan be any different? He's of the same stripe, with regards to being a danger to Israel.
Erdoğan has maintained close contact with HAMAS leaders and does not recognize the organization as a terrorist group, viewing it instead as a liberation movement. If he gets too overtly involved with providing material support or using his naval forces to run through the military sea blockade into Gaza, that would be a red line, in my view.

NATO would not be able to shield him from any sudden accidental tragedy that could befall him!

As for the UN being kicked out of NYC ---
The headquarters of the United Nations (UN) is on 17 to 18 acres of grounds in the Turtle Bay neighborhood of Midtown Manhattan in New York City. It borders First Avenue to the west, 42nd Street to the south, 48th Street to the north, and the East River to the east.
Prime real estate, for sure.
Trump has his eye on it, for Trump EastCity.

POTUS could kick the UN Headquarters out of New York, by "simply" unilaterally withdrawing the US from any and all United Nations memberships and treaties -- at which point the US would no longer be bound by the UN H-Q agreement and could tell them to piss off.

What would be more likely to happen in practice would be that the US would formally ask the UN to move their headquarters elsewhere, and the UN would probably answer "Sure, just as soon as we agree on another country/city to host the HQ and finish building it" which would probably take quite a while...

Israel just wipes out international leaders willy nilly? Sounds like an anti-Semitic blood libel.

So you have NO evidence Trump is even close to considering such a thing. You simply made it up, aka you lied.

Yesterday, HAMAS sent their media spokesperson out to spew more garbage about their refusals to release all the remaining captive bodies (two more of whom were recovered in Gaza by IDF special ops forces).

Today, there is no HAMAS spokesman anymore. Ta-Ta Obeida.

We will see what happens during the General Assembly session about to begin.
If it gets out of hand, and turns into an Israel-bashing fest, the POTUS may indeed turn to the UN, say he's done with these antics against the JewishState, and show them the door.
(Notice he's already withdrawn from various UN treaties and groups, and cut fundings)

Sounds like you're accusing Trump of being an unregistered agent of the Israeli govt.

Ahhh, now Trump's 'agency' on behalf of Israel is becoming more solidified, as the Trump administration gears up actual defined steps to start implementing their new program to fix Gaza. (38-page document)

Known as the Gaza Reconstitution, Economic Acceleration and Transformation Trust (or GREAT Trust) envisions turning Gaza (and ostensibly, N.Sinai, once Egypt signs-on with this plan) into a high-tech and industrial center with solar energy farms, and developing a delightful tourist industry.

Each Palestinian family who chooses to leave Gaza would receive a $5,000 cash grant, rent subsidies in another location of their choice for four years, and one year of free food vouchers.

Mega-projects under consideration include electric vehicle factories, data centers, beach resorts, and high-rise apartments. The plan estimates nearly a fourfold return on a $100 billion investment over 10 years with ongoing revenue streams.

Oh, and by the way, just in case it was overlooked, we must take note of the Israeli airstrike against those maniacs the Houthis, (who violently control Yemeni territory) which has resulted (in addition to the prime minister) in the deaths of the Houthi political bureau chief, cabinet secretary, justice minister, economy and trade minister, foreign minister, agriculture minister and information minister were also in the same meeting.
No announcement from the HAMAS spokesperson about that news was forthcoming (He's permanantly indisposed, apparently).

Scumbags. Offering bribes so that 2.2 million people comply with racist fascist ethnic cleansing. Just disgusting. All who support this abomination are fascists and racists. If Israel makes this their official policy than BDS is totally 100% justified. And ALL Israelis around the world deserve to get an earfull about how evil their govt is. Just as it was 100% legit to give South Africans an earfull about their evil govt during Apartheid.

Even a bot could do better than that.
