Trump's Second Term

Feds fail to get indictment against DC ‘Subway’ sandwich thrower who DOJ fired

Prosecutors failed to obtain a grand jury indictment against a former Department of Justice employee who allegedly hurled a Subway sandwich at a federal officer whom President Donald Trump deployed in Washington, D.C.

It was the second time in recent days that a grand jury rejected an indictment request by the office of U.S. Attorney for D.C. Jeanine Pirro in a criminal case involving attacks on federal authorities carrying out Trump’s policies.

Pirro’s prosecutors had sought to charge the man, Sean Charles Dunn, with felony assault of a Customs and Border Protection officer for the Aug. 10 sub-chucking incident.

But they could not convince a grand jury to indict Dunn, NBC News reported Wednesday, citing two people familiar with the matter.

Hardly a surprise there. Much of their main demographic is also very influenced by right wing propaganda.
While I don't think it has anything to do with wokeness and I think Trump a fool and an idiot for thinking it does or thinking he should say anything about it anyway, I do suspect that the logo change was a mistake, based likely on some corporate person thinking that the secret to restoring sagging growth was to modernize the logo rather than to attract more customers with actually useful changes. Not that this changes the likelihood that they changed it back for the wrong reasons as well.

They've already rolled the barrel back in.
Repeating what Target did: piss off half the country by doing a thing, then piss off the other half by undoing it...and the first half doesn't then forgive them because they're still mad about it happening in the first place. Target can survive --with losses-- but I doubt Cracker Barrel can, especially if the whole redesign thing was aimed at improving already flagging fortunes.

New Coke moment.

I see members of the National Guard who have been pulled away from their lives performing sanitation and landscaping in Washington DC, and I am reminded that he referred to those who serve in uniform as “suckers” and “losers.”
I am sure the NG taking up gardening was a primary cause for the claimed drop in crime rates.

Cheese Brain!

Trump: "Beverly Hills... I have friends, they leave their trunk open for their car bc they know they're going to be vandalized. They don't want the trunk ripped off in order for them to steal what's in their bag. They leave their doors open so when they go in to steal the radio or whatever they take, they don't rip off the door. They leave the doors totally open so the criminals, when they go and open the door, they don't have to break the windows & kill the car"

Reading these posts I'm reminded of Roy Batty's line from Blade Runner: "Quite an experience to live in fear, isn't it? That's what it is to be a slave."

These bozos are really fearful aren't they?

Chris O notes that no previous president has ever created criminal offences by executive order, but it's something fascist dictators like to do, and it usually starts with punishing dissent.

The other thing they do is, as they tighten their grip on the legislature, the less they use it to enact their agendas. The more control they have, the more lawless and illegal they become.

Not just cars!! Donald knows a man that leaves his garage open!

Trump: I have another friend—he has a garage and in order to save his garage door—he leaves it open so the people can just walk into his garage, take whatever they want and leave.

Hey, TACO! 1) Tulsi Gabbard ain't your friend, 2) She ain't no man and 3) it's the only way she can think of to pass on stolen state secrets to her Ruzzian spymaster bosses.

You wouldn't know him. He goes to a different school.

He's getting carried away now. Even some of the faithful will raise an eyebrow at that whopper. I mean seriously, garage? Trump doesn't have any friends who even park their own car. The driver just takes it away and deals with that stuff.
Fixed your post for accuracy.

Edit: ninja'd.

Baier: The critics out there say this is Putin playing you all.

Witkoff: I think he has made a good faith effort to engage… I just hope when it comes time to assess from a Nobel Peace Prize standpoint the type of work Trump has done, it's widely acknowledged what has happened on the world stage.

As I said the most powerful people on the planet are the Nobel peace prize committee, they could get Trump to do pretty much anything.

I'm pretty sure the real reason the people in his circle were afraid to go out in DC, expect to be robbed, etc. is the sentiment in these panels borrowed from the Shortpacked webcomic. (The character was actually complaining about the 2015 FF movie.)

In a statement, it said she was "not aligned with the president's agenda" and she had been removed from her position at the health agency.

"Secretary Kennedy and HHS have set their sights on weaponizing public health for political gain and putting millions of American lives at risk," Monarez's attorneys, Mark Zaid and Abbe Lowell, said in a statement, adding that their client was targeted because she "refused to rubber-stamp unscientific, reckless directives and fire dedicated health experts."

One of the reasons it's going is it's too loud. It's more of a gigging amp.
At home I never had the master volume above the 1 or 2 position.
Not as loud as the AC30 with it's twin 12" speakers but still big.

Donald saved Cracker Barrel.

Watters: If we had just put our foot down, think about what we could’ve saved: Aunt Jemima, the Indian lady on the Land O'Lakes Butter…. Smoking on planes.

Reminds me of the group of retired bores that used to spend every lunchtime drinking in the local country pub opining on how UKIP was going to sweep Führage to power and he'd wipe away political correctness and the smoking ban. Hurrah, casual racism and lung cancer for all!
