The MS Estonia's bow structure consisted of heavy steel plating, stiffeners, and hinges designed to open a car deck ramp.

As you know it was likely treated at some point causing a dispute to arise over Rabe and Braidwood's findings.

At long last you admit it was your error. You are throwing around language without caring whether it is accurate or whether you understand what it means. That will not do. This part of the discussion involves language that is precisely crafted to mean specific things. Prof. Westermann understands this, and writes appropriately. I understand this, and read appropriately. You do not, nor do those you are relying upon to interpret Westermann's findings for you. As long as you propose to tread upon my area of professional expertise, I will be justified in holding you to an appropriate degree of rigor.

How do you know what I understand and don't understand?
 
I always have a giggle at the 'can't be done outside a laboratory' nonsense- as usual her lack of knowledge is obvious to those who have experience in other fields...

JayUtah likely has knowledge of it, but many others likely would never heard of arc gouging (used extensively in the heavy equipment industry locally here) its a combination of an electric arc (similar to a welder) and a jet air blast- not only 'melts steel' outside a laboratory, but large amounts in a very short time indeed...

I actually watched the neighbours front end loader having its teeth on the bucket cut off for replacement- amazing just how fast it was done in...
(each tooth is much bigger than my hand, and took only a couple of minutes to have the new tooth ready to fit...)

As I recall about your claim of a 'baseless accusation', you mistook two Kurdish guys with long Arabic-looking names as having been deported by Sweden, in the context of the disappeared Estonian crew, including Capt. Piht. I pointed out no, it wasn't a deportation it was a rendition. As the vast majority of people have no idea what a renditioning is, I commented that you'd jumped to conclusions based on these two guys' names. You then took great umbrage and claimed I was calling you a racist, when I was doing nothing of the sort. I was quite aware your reaction would be the expected one for a typical Brit. I was right, you didn't realise the guys had been renditioned (forcibly 'disappeared') because you insisted it was a mundane deportation. Ever since then you seem to have held an enormous grudge. Please let it lie. Or explain what the beef is.

This is the problem Vixen, I don't have a beef with you, you just continue to lie about what people, myself included say to you. It's either deliberate trolling in which case it's pathetic, or it's an attempt to smear your interlocutors in which case it's pathetic, disgusting and intellectually dishonest.

It's not an insult, it's a factually accurate assessment of your posts. Either you forget what the person you're talking to is saying, you're deliberately lying about what people post to smear them and poison the well or you're making up our side of the conversation in your head.
