Trump's Second Term

Well stated and thank you, but I wonder why Cracker Barrel decided to change their logo now? Was it to piss off the fat clown and his maga weirdoes? I sure hope so, because it's doing a bang-up job, and I love it!

ETA: I mean, is anyone here really offended that a white guy was in their old logo?

I would imagine that, in the USA, the name itself would be a problem.

Oh, is that why the trumpkins are so triggered over the redesign? I knew it was controversial, the same way lots of fast-food and logo rebranding has been controversial lately, but I assumed it was just that they threw out the 'old country store' aesthetic and replaced it with something bland. They're angry because the person in the logo happened to be white and now he's gone? That's hilarious.

Doesn't look white to me, seems to be a bit on the orange spectrum... Hmm.. wonder who else looks that colour....

Well, remember that this is the day and age when a person can sue a food company because the time given to serve a meal doesn't include the time they take to cut the package open and start the pot boiling. Maybe Cracker barrel was guarding against the idiots who came into the place expecting the chair and the wooden barrel and some avuncular guru to entertain them.

I wish it was to piss off the fat clown, but I suspect it's more likely that they hired some expert idiot who consulted his AI oracle and told them their old logo was too complicated or too busy.

I know, right, but I did find this:

crack·er
[ˈkrakər]
noun

1
chiefly dialectal : a bragging liar : boaster...

(SNIP)

5 a
offensive—used as an insulting and contemptuous term for a poor, white, usually Southern person
b
sometimes offensive : a native or resident of Florida or Georgia

—used as a nickname

It's hard to notice, but the original logo is circumscribed by a whip, making him a "whip-cracker" (which I think is where the original, now slur term, comes from.
