Does 'rape culture' accurately describe (many) societies?

The question was why would they be inclined to lie.
I'm agnostic about their motivation. That they're not meeting their burden of proof, and that you're relying on a blind appeal to authority, is enough for me.

I want to see the survey data, and the methodolgy, before I accept the claims being made on the back of that survey.

Unfortunately the Children's Commissioner doesn't provide the survey data or methodology.
Based on interviews with children. Why would they be inclined to lie if you think they would be?
For a start, the Children's Commissioner has an agenda. Secondly, the Commissioner doesn't even have to lie if the children they are interviewing do.

I feel compelled to point out: It is entirely possible for people to have non-vanilla sex where both participants care about each other's wellbeing and pleasure.
I don't disagree, but let's give kids a chance to grasp the basics rather than going straight to the advanced material.

I asked before - perhaps you missed it - but I would be interested to know what you think is the right way to go about solving this issue. How are we going to properly ensure that children don't see what they should not see?

You want to dictate what forms of sex are permissable, based on your own notions. I'm just wondering how backwards you are, full Catholic or do you allow a little variety?
You don't dictate based on your on 'your own notions'? Everyone draws a red line somewhere...unless they are totally nihilistic.

You are correct of course; as a praying mantis I consider it totally impermissible to gnaw your partner's head off in more than, say, one out of three coital encounters.

Some humans believe they should be allowed to have sex with someone who is rather young. Psychologists talk about MAPs now.

We clearly haven't reached to end of the sexual revolution....and not every country has the same underage laws.
