In all seriousness, the summit makes me think he himself is just useful idiot. He's not paid nor blackmailed. He would behave differently in either case. He simply admires Putin, because he was more successful in controlling people around him. He wants to be like him. But that's it. Not much of a difference though. He will do anything Putin wants, it might just not be entirely clear to him what it is.

Sure, it shows he's a loyalist, but we knew that.

I'm a lot more concerned about the former Jan 6 defendant working at the DOJ. There's video of this former FBI agent encouraging the crowd to "kill 'em all" as they battled police.

Lots of reasons to worry about Antoni, but his mere presence on Jan. 6 doesn't add much. We have to expect that no one in the Trump administration is concerned about Jan 6 and that most of them would voice support for the attack on the Capitol.

He's a supporter of the current junta. That, in and of itself, is the capital crime.

Trump's the worst kind of bully, he's the type who's a bully not because of any attribute of his own but just because he was born rich, he's a coward who'd rather be behind a real, tough, bully egging them on and basking in their reflected 'glory'. If Putin has Trump's balls in a vice he'll say "Thank you, Daddy" every time Putin tweeks the handle.

The purpose of the National Guard troops in DC is clearly not for law enforcement. They aren't even allowed to arrest people. I see no other explanation than it is an attempt to intimidate the population - "Dis me, and I'll send in the Army to deal with you."

Donald Trump will back a plan to cede unoccupied Ukrainian territory to Russia to secure an end to the war between the two countries, it was reported on Saturday, after details of his post-summit call with European leaders leaked out.

Trump told European leaders that he believed a peace deal could be negotiated if the Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, agreed to give up the Donbas region, which Russian invaders have not been able to seize in over three years of fighting, the New York Times reported, citing to two senior European officials.


Two sources with direct knowledge of the talks in Alaska told the Guardian that Putin demanded Ukraine withdraw from Donbas, which is made up of the Donestk and Luhansk regions, as a condition for ending the war, but offered Trump a freeze along the remaining frontline

They have been sworn in as Federal Deputy Marshals.
They can arrest people.

I posted a link to pictures of the swearing in I will see if I can find them.
