Trump's Second Term

Of course the Russians are overjoyed. Their president only usually gets to visit rogue states, as any normal country would arrest him for war crimes.
I think the US now meets the criteria to be labelled a “rogue state”.
If Google search’s AI definition is anyway near correct.
"Rogue state" is a term used to describe countries that are perceived as threatening to international peace and security, often due to actions like supporting terrorism, developing weapons of mass destruction, or violating international norms. The term is not a formal legal or diplomatic designation but rather a label primarily used by the United States to identify adversaries or states opposed to its interests.

Time Magazine's take on the Alaska plummet...

Trump is Seduced By Summits, but He Failed to Deliver Again

Time said:
The Alaska meeting, which concluded without the Ukraine ceasefire Trump had promised, represents the latest chapter in a troubling pattern: the 45th and 47th president’s persistent confusion of stagecraft for statecraft. Where Reagan walked away from Reykjavik rather than accept a bad deal, Trump seems perpetually seduced by the optics of the moment, the handshake photo, the joint press conference that suggests progress where none exists.

Donald says no country has mail in voting!

Trump: "Vladimir Putin said something -- one of the most interesting things. He said 'your election was rigged because you have mail in voting.' He said, 'mail in voting, every election -- no country has mail in voting. It's impossible to have mail in voting and have honest elections.' And he said that to me because we talked about 2020. He said, 'you won that election by so much.'"

The meeting was very short, why would such matters even have been discussed? Yes it was a rhetorical question.

Vladimir Putin confirms that if Trump were President in 2022, there would be no war:
"When President Trump says that if he was president back then there would be no war... I can confirm that. "

Of course what Putin means is that Trump would have denied Ukraine aid from the start and done all he could to make other countries follow suit so Russia could have rolled straight over them and installed a puppet regime that Trump would have recognised.

"During the summit Friday, lunch was apparently cancelled."

The article provides a likely reason why.

"Crème brûlée would be served for dessert."

No ice cream (2 scoops)?!? Unacceptable.

Given that the First course was a green salad I'm surprised Trump didn't cancel the whole summit and declare war (on Alaska).

Any video of him, I expect him to raise his clawed hands and glide offscreen hissing...
