Do we have evidence that the OSA is actually do so?Not in the UK.
Do we have evidence that the OSA is actually do so?Not in the UK.
I think you must be, because I said nothing like that.I must be misunderstanding you as this following my post seems to be saying it should be up to parents whether their 13 year old can be groomed or not online?!?
It would be a start.They aren't though.
Yes it would be a start if parents behaved responsibly - but even if they did (#1,767):It would be a start.
Not following.Would you withhold food from hungry people because you can't continue feeding them indefinitely?
Are you aware it hasn't been in force (in regard to age verification) for a month yet? It's new - there would be no data available.Do we have evidence that the OSA is actually do so?
Then could you restate it as I do not know what point you were making.I think you must be, because I said nothing like that.
This would also mean we could not conclude that the UK isn't tolerating it. Not tolerating means stopping it.Are you aware it hasn't been in force (in regard to age verification) for a month yet? It's new - there would be no data available.
You are affirming that VPNs don't work on Pornhub?I have checked the website I used to do the research that showed your opinion on the fictional scenarios most popular was incorrect, that was Pornhub and that now requires age verification. I could no longer do the research I did unless I submitted to its request to verify my age. So that's at least one example that shows it is working.
Perfect is the enemy of the good. This would also mean we could not conclude that the UK isn't tolerating it.
Not tolerating means stopping it.

Cybernews details the best VPNs to use and one of them is free:
If some good has been done then I would celebrate that.Perfect is the enemy of the good.
Who said I'm talking about filtering?Yes it would be a start if parents behaved responsibly - but even if they did (#1,767):
The Oxford Internet Institute (research and teaching department of the University of Oxford): Parental controls ineffective at preventing teens from seeing pornography, new research finds
I've quoted Rachel De Souza, Daniel Kebede and others who say that we need to legislate - that 'parents cannot stop the tide of this stuff'.
No idea - why would I try that and not go through age verification? If some good has been done then I would celebrate that.
Are you affirming that VPNs don't work on Pornhub?
I'm not clear what solution you have in mind.Who said I'm talking about filtering?
If you have no idea then averring that UK isn't tolerating children seeing porn isn't saying much. It seems that VPNs are easily available. No idea - why would I try that and not go through age verification?
Limiting their internet access might be a start. ( not filtering )Here's a reminder of what we are dealing with:
Barnardo’s said children are “too easily” able to access extreme content, including rape, incest, domestic abuse and child sexual abuse....
How do children get access to VPNs?If you have no idea then averring that UK isn't tolerating children seeing porn isn't saying much. It seems that VPNs are easily available.
There are free VPNs.How do children get access to VPNs?
Sarcasm or not, I realize limiting a child's internet access is a daunting task, but it's a start, and better than doing nothing and expecting the government to do it for you.All it takes is one savvy or precocious eleven year old in a clique, and everybody has one.
