The Smithsonian is supposed to be a global symbol of American strength, culture and prestige. A place for families and children to celebrate American history and greatness. Instead, the exhibits have clearly been taken over by leftwing activists who have used the Smithsonian as yet one platform to endlessly bash America and rewrite / erase our magnificent story. These activists have obscenely defaced this beloved institution. The Trump Administration will proudly and diligently restore the patriotic glory of America and ensure the Smithsonian is a place that once more inspires love and devotion to this nation, especially among our youngest citizens.

He's just being a dick.

What he means is tariffs (which everyone knows literally are import taxes) make imports more expensive (which is undoubtedly a price hike) but tilting the playing field like that in favour of domestic production can stimulate growth, which could be used to fund a tax cut.

Saying tariffs are tax cuts is just him being a twat. It's not a given that the growth they stimulate will outweigh the price increases which drive the growth.

The MAGA movement values loyalty to the cause (and of course to the leader) above everything else so it makes sense that they should appoint people from their most loyal cadre - those who took part in the January 6 peaceful self-guided tour of the Capitol Building.

There's not yet any evidence that Antoni did anything particularly wrong.

The footage shows Antoni approximately an hour after the mob removed police barricades. The footage appears to show him leaving the grounds as people entered the Capitol and not entering the building.

Sure, it shows he's a loyalist, but we knew that.

I'm a lot more concerned about the former Jan 6 defendant working at the DOJ. There's video of this former FBI agent encouraging the crowd to "kill 'em all" as they battled police.

Lots of reasons to worry about Antoni, but his mere presence on Jan. 6 doesn't add much. We have to expect that no one in the Trump administration is concerned about Jan 6 and that most of them would voice support for the attack on the Capitol.
