Many homeless have a psychological issues that makes them avoid others and minimize interactions - prison is torture for them.

Many of them are economically homeless, and already live together in encampments. They would appreciate a roof over their heads and three squares, even if it meant sharing with a bunch of similar outcasts.

And, of course these days, not all homeless people are members of some mythical subclass we name the homeless. They're just not able to afford housing, and that includes whole families.

But for those you mention one must consider that the torture is a bonus, not a problem.
 
When a homeless person doesn't go to a shelter even when they are available, it's because they have had bad experiences there - it would be far worse in prison.

Of course most homeless people could be given a permanent place to stay for the money Trump is blowing on this stunt

Germany didn't elect the nazis. Their first government was a coalition made up of themselves, the centrist party as the other major partner in terms of seats and a number of small far right parties. They had to pull a number of illegal manouvres to achieve a majority.

The symbols will be to identify what category of lebens unwertesleben each inmate is. To keep them off the streets they'll be kept in camps which will be surrounded by deep ditches, lots of barbed wire and plenty of MG-42 nests.

How many of these were for things like loitering with intent to use a pedestrian crossing, smelling of foreign food, urinating in a public convenience, coughing without due care and attention, walking on the cracks in the pavement, walking in a loud shirt in a built-up area during the hours of darkness, walking around with an offensive wife, or looking at me in a funny way?
 
And to think all of this, all of this, could have been avoided if only people got off their asses and voted in November.

But hey, at least we didn't get the woman who laughed funny and was kinda awkward in interviews and who maybe wouldn't have been hard enough on Israel.

40% of the US electorate want what Trump is doing and enough of the remaining 60% are somewhat ambivalent about it.

Or just think about all the other worlds, where Trump didn't won the election, or doesn't even exists in the first place.
And there are also all these other worlds, where Trump already led the world into WW3 and nuked everyone.

Glad to see that delusions about the durability of American democracy hasn't dimmed. Many of us could see how fragile the US democratic structures were and how it could be manipulated by vested interests with capital as early as the Reagan years...
