If you think there's such a thing as a male brain in a female body, then what's your evidence for this?
There you go again with the binary thinking! And furthermore, why does he think males should decide what is best for females?
I have made no such claim, nor believe this to be the case. I believe some people's gender does not correspond to their biological sex and that this will probably be caused by physical characteristics in their brains. If you think there's such a thing as a male brain in a female body, then what's your evidence for this?
Have you ever stopped to consider that a large number of women can be disadvantaged for the benefit of a miniscule number of transwomen? There you go again with the binary thinking!
I think we should consider all humans and the costs and benefits for all groups.
Sorry, new tablet, haven't got auto-correct whipped into shape yet."there" should be "their"
"too" should be "to"
I am a bit confused, then. You don't claim that a male brain can exist in a female body, but you also cast doubt on the statement "a male brain is a brain in a male body". What do you believe about brains?I have made no such claim, nor believe this to be the case. I believe some people's gender does not correspond to their biological sex and that this will probably be caused by physical characteristics in their brains.
Auto-correct isn't going to help you with the distinction between "to" and "too", or "there" and "their". You have to work that out for yourself.Sorry, new tablet, haven't got auto-correct whipped into shape yet.
How does a fraction of 0.25% of the population being given access to, say, female public toilets, significantly disadvantage a "large" (but always unspecified) number of women?Have you ever stopped to consider that a large number of women can be disadvantaged for the benefit of a miniscule number of transwomen?
Of course you haven’t.
I didn't cast doubt on it, I said it was a (useless) tautology. I have already explained in several previous posts, and summarised in the post you are responding too, what I believe about brains.I am a bit confused, then. You don't claim that a male brain can exist in a female body, but you also cast doubt on the statement "a male brain is a brain in a male body". What do you believe about brains?
Suggest you start here and read on.How does a fraction of 0.25% of the population being given access to, say, female public toilets, significantly disadvantage a "large" (but always unspecified) number of women?
OK, then what's your evidence for your belief that "this will probably be caused by physical characteristics in their brains"?I didn't cast doubt on it, I said it was a (useless) tautology. I have already explained in several previous posts, and summarised in the post you are responding too, what I believe about brains.
I’d like to see evidence of your 0.25%, which I doubt you can verify. But I’m not just talking about toilets. One male, Lia Thomas, has relegated dozens of women swimmers to mediocrity because of his selfishness. You do realise that he is fully intact, has a girlfriend and describes himself as a lesbian? How does a fraction of 0.25% of the population being given access to, say, female public toilets, significantly disadvantage a "large" (but always unspecified) number of women?
That we have already found structures in the brain that correlate to particular human behaviours and characteristics.OK, then what's your evidence for your belief that "this will probably be caused by physical characteristics in their brains"?
And...?That we have already found structures in the brain that correlate to particular human behaviours and characteristics.
The last ONS census (2021) in the UK estimated that 0.5% of the population identified as trans, with equal numbers of males and females. More recently it has been pointed out that some non-native English speakers may have not understood the question used to derive this statistic, thus is may be an over-estimate. If this is the case, then transsexual women are even more rare and unlikely to cause significant distress to most people most of the time when they encounter them.I’d like to see evidence of your 0.25%, which I doubt you can verify. But I’m not just talking about toilets. One male, Lia Thomas, has relegated dozens of women swimmers to mediocrity because of his selfishness. You do realise that he is fully intact, has a girlfriend and describes himself as a lesbian?
Do you support him?
And what? You want me to list all the studies that have shown correlates between behaviour and structures in the brain?And...?
There is no way to give a tiny fraction of the male population access to female spaces without removing the right of women to object to males in female spaces and therefore giving all males access to female spaces. We have already been over this a thousand times. You have not produced a single statement on this topic that suggests you have thought about it at all.How does a fraction of 0.25% of the population being given access to, say, female public toilets, significantly disadvantage a "large" (but always unspecified) number of women?
No, I want you to elaborate on why the fact that there are correlations between brain structure and behaviour means that females should not have female-only spaces. And what? You want me to list all the studies that have shown correlates between behaviour and structures in the brain?
Exactly. Yet another fringe reset,There is no way to give a tiny fraction of the male population access to female spaces without removing the right of women to object to males in female spaces and therefore giving all males access to female spaces. We have already been over this a thousand times. You have not produced a single statement on this topic that suggests you have thought about it at all.
