Trump's promised ICE raids have begun

I think this is the ONLY case of US citizens being deported.
It is estimated by the GAO that at least 70 U.S citizens have been deported since 2015.

Any many more have been held in "detention centers."

Since you asked, it's a misquote of Clarence Darrow often misattributed to Mark Twain.

Not sure why you think it much of an excuse for taking pleasure in political violence. Do you understand the difference between, say, Trump dying of a heart attack and Trump getting assassinated? Would both outcomes really sit the same with you? And would you actually take pleasure in the deaths of random ICE officers?
Lets be real clear here - I would be ecstatic at either outcome. The man is the single most vile thing that has ever happened in this country. His goal is full on authoritarian dictatorship. He attacks only the weak, speaks only in lies, and surrounds himself with bottom feeding scum. So yes, both outcomes would sit the same, which would be most welcome.

We've been over this before.

Government Accounting Office.

Available data indicate ICE and CBP took enforcement actions against some U.S. citizens. For example, available ICE data indicate that ICE arrested 674, detained 121, and removed 70 potential U.S. citizens from fiscal year 2015 through the second quarter of fiscal year 2020 (March 2020).

Concentration camps. I see. This has nothing to do with any objective evaluation of the facts, this is just another exercise in how we can compare Trump to Hitler. Have fun with that.
Here's a quick question - try to be reasonable.

How many things (policies, quotes, beliefs..) would the two have to share before it becomes OK to make the comparison?

Those children were not deported. Their mother was deported. She chose to bring her children with her when she was deported, which she was entitled to do as their mother. But it was her choice to bring them with her, the government didn't force that choice. And can you imagine the outcry that would have happened if we had deported her and NOT allowed her to bring her children with her? THAT would have been cruel and inhumane.

Thank you for the honest admission that you are in favor of political violence, in particular political violence used to overturn the outcome of a democratic election. I will try to keep this in mind whenever I interact with you in the future.

OK if Trump does it though, right? I mean he literally did the very thing you're complaining about. At least I was talking in hypotheticals.

You did not, cuz if you did, you would know that your claim is a LIE by omission.

What GAO Found

Available data indicate ICE and CBP took enforcement actions against some U.S. citizens. For example, available ICE data indicate that ICE arrested 674, detained 121, and removed 70 potential U.S. citizens from fiscal year 2015 through the second quarter of fiscal year 2020 (March 2020).

Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) have policies and procedures for investigating citizenship, but some ICE guidance is inconsistent. Specifically, ICE policy requires officers to interview individuals claiming U.S. citizenship in the presence of, or in consultation with, a supervisor, but its training materials direct officers to end questioning if the officer believes the individual and the evidence suggests the individual is a U.S. citizen—without consulting a supervisor. By making its training materials consistent with ICE policy, ICE would have more assurance that all encounters with potential U.S. citizens receive appropriate supervisory review.

Further, while ICE policy requires officers to document citizenship investigations in ICE data systems, it does not require officers to update the citizenship field after identifying evidence that an individual may be a U.S. citizen. As a result, ICE does not know the extent to which its officers are taking enforcement actions against individuals who could be U.S. citizens. By systematically collecting and maintaining electronic data, ICE would have better insight into its officers' enforcement of administrative immigration law.
