So what form does the resistance take?

Mexican MAGA riot against lawful immigration.

A similar thing is happening in the USA:
President Trump touts $5 million "Trump card" on social media, says waitlist is open (CBS News, June 12, 2025)

And similar things are happening everywhere:
Wealthy foreigners set their sights on northern Spain (El País, April 5, 2025)

Billionaires and millionaires and their investment fonds buy up living space everywhere, making it increasingly difficult for ordinary people to buy a house or pay the rent. The working classes are not just up against the upper classes of their own countries. They are up against the upper classes everywhere. It's The International of the oligarchs and their worldwide exploitation of poor people.

That's the whole point of 'globalization', and that is why the slogan Workers of the world, unite! is as relevant today as it was 150 years ago - if not more so.
However, the oligarchs and their paid distributors of disinformation still manage to persuade workers that poor people of other countries are the enemy that they have to protect their oligarch-ruled country against, which is the real meaning of patriotism.

Wow! How you can go from digital nomads staying in Airbnbs to oligarchs in a few short paragraphs has to be the biggest leap I've seen all day. It's still early though. The woman who renewed my insurance via telephone was a Canadian living somewhere in the Caribbean. No wonder there's so much opposition to return-to-the-office. Wouldn't you rather do WFH in some warm, exotic location than sit in some office back home. I sure would.

I should have anticipated that I would have to explain this:
The CBS article was about giving permanent U.S. residency to wealthy immigrants:
President Trump's $5 million pathway for wealthy immigrants to achieve legal U.S. residency now has a website where aspiring visa holders can join a waitlist for what he's calling the "Trump card."
But it was too much of a leap for some people to see the connection that new permanent residents require new living space and thus contribute to raising the prices of housing.
And the El País article was about wealthy foreigners, many of them Americans, setting their sights on northern Spain and thus contributing to jacking up prices:
In Cantabria the average price per square meter stood at €4,110 in 2024, 107% more than in 2023.
Which, of course, leads to protests and social unrest, i.e. the resistance that this thread is about.

US home prices to rise 3.5% this year, but tariffs will hinder new construction (Reuters, June 3, 2025)
3.5% isn't much compared to 107%, but investment companies may do the rest, as they do everywhere.

I expected Stout to be aware of at least some of this. My bad!
I hope that this will also help Safe-Keeper.

Enten: 'DC residents hate, hate, hate' Trump getting involved in local issues (CNN on YouTube, Aug 12, 2025 - 15:05 min.)
What do Washington, DC residents think of President Trump and his moves to deploy the DC National Guard and take over the Metropolitan Police Department? CNN chief data analyst Harry Enten looks at polling numbers. Kate Bolduan also talks with CNN chief media analyst Brian Stelter on MAGA media's reaction, and Washington mayor Muriel Bowser and police chief Pam Smith speak.

ETA: I have attempted to explain democracy before: representatives, campaign promises etc.
Josh Johnson's doing something similar on the background of Trump taking control of D.C. and not least on the background of the reaction to it.
Is this a New America? Trump Takes Over D.C. (Josh Johnson on YouTube, August 13, 2025 - 49:28 min.)

‘They’re going all the way’: GOP governors deploy National Guard to DC for Trump police takeover (MSNBC, Aug 17, 2025 - 10:46 min.)
In a major escalation, Republican governors of three states — West Virginia, Ohio, and South Carolina — are set to deploy hundreds of National Guard troops to Washington. And, in a reversal of their previous stance, Defense officials now say many of those troops will be armed.

‘**** TRUMP!’: Massive Protests ERUPT In DC & NYC (Secular Talk, Aug 18, 2025 - 11:26 min.)

Why resist tyrannical military occupation?! Why not?
How Brave D.C. Residents Are Resisting Trump’s Tyrannical Military Occupation (The Humanist Report on YouTube, Aug 19, 2025 - 20:39 min.)
Trump’s authoritarian takeover of Washington D.C. has created a nightmarish situation for residents with militarized federal agents ominously marching through streets, arresting innocent people, and even going door-to-door to warn people against behavior Trump is “tired” of seeing. They even set up a checkpoint to interrogate people. In response, some D.C. residents mobilized to defend their community from Trump’s tyranny; some protested the checkpoint, while others joined “cop watches” to protect marginalized community members from potential abuse. In this video we’ll talk about the situation in D.C. and discuss what some residents are doing to push back, including Afeni, who was brutalized and arrested by police.

Hopefully if this happens, there will be massive peaceful protest and civil disobedience against the p-zombies that follow Trump's immoral and unPatriotic orders.
You understand this corrupt administration doesn't want "peaceful" demonstrations. They want chaos and violence and given the actions of ice agents and others, they will surely get it if the crowds look too large and they "have" to disperse them with tear gas and rubber bullets. Trump wants this so he can declare martial law, or at least occupy blue cities until mid-terms to intimidate voters.

Im not really interested at all in what Trump wants.
