Transwomen are not Women - Part 15

Excellent.
However, what is really needed is for Title IX to have these definitions enshrined so that ANY educational establishments that attempt to emulate what UPenn did aoutmatically violate Title IX - and no investigation needed.
Baby steps. Changing Title IX requires legislation. That's a lot more work.

The Department of Education has announced that the University of Pennsylvania has agreed to resolve Title IX violations related to allowing transgender swimmer Lia Thomas to compete on the women's team during the 2021-22 season.

As part of the resolution deal, UPenn will adopt definitions for male and female consistent with biological sex; restore stolen records and titles to female athletes; and, issue personal apologies to each impacted female swimmer.

Imagine my jaw crashing to the floor when I read that.

A refreshing development in Australia. The E Safety Commissioner (yes, I know) ordered X to delete a post “mis gendering” a TRA activist here. X appealed to a higher court and the post was allowed.

“The more focused question is whether I can be satisfied that the necessary intention to cause serious harm to the subject of the post has been established,” he wrote in his ruling.

“Based on the evidence before me, I am not satisfied that it has. Consequently, the decision of the eSafety Commissioner to issue a removal notice is set aside.”

A win for free speech here.

Better than a loss, but I’m not sure it’s that much of a win. It still sounds like there is a way for misgendering to actually be illegal, even if it wasn’t in this case. That doesn’t really satisfy me.

It’s more than that. The judgement finds, amongst other things, that it’s okay to disparage someone because of a genuine belief you have.

Can you not disparage someone just to be a jerk?
That depends. Yes, I acknowledge that in the US you have greater “freedom” to insult, disparage and vilify people. Our “ rights” do do such things are more limited.

This remains a satisfying ruling.

Within the context of Australian law, perhaps this is the best that can be hoped for.

Keep in mind that Australia is one of the MOST gender ideology captured administrations in the western world. This is particularly so with regards to the Australian Federal Judiciary - collective devotees of the Cult of Gender Ideology.

Remember, these judges are the idiots who gave us the bat-**** crazy ruling in Tickle V Giggle for Girls - the ruling being that the administrators of a private Lesbian Chat & Dating App were breaking the law when they denied membership to an applicant who is clearly and demonstrably a biological male. They have, in effect, ruled that the terms women and girl are not based on biology, but instead are based on self ID - that the group "women" includes all transwomen.

Under the circumstances, the result lionking has posted is an astonishing one. It remains to be seen whther this decisions survives appeal.

Way way back in the before time, the "T" meant "transsexual" not "transgender". At that point in time, there was a considerable amount of medical gate-keeping involved in any open transsexualism.
At that point, the T was pretty much exclusively comprised of very, very, very homosexual males - Kinsey 6 gay, if you will. In somewhat crass terms, males that were so extremely gay that they desperately wanted to be female so that they'd be even more attractive to males. To some extent, that sort of made sense to include with the LGB - they were G after all, just G with a penchant for female presentation. Of course, they also tended to present like normal average females instead of the pornified bimbo look that many of the current transgender cohort seems to gravitate to.

Currently, however, the TQWTAF+ has nothing at all in common with the LGB.
Couldn't be more wrong in terms of the UK.

That's a mess as they're still using gender labels and sex labels interchangeably.
But, er ...
The statement will specify that UPenn will adopt biology-based definitions for the words ‘male’ and ‘female’ pursuant to Title IX and consistent with President Trump’s Executive Orders “Defending Women from Gender Ideology Extremism” and “Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports”;
Trump? ◊◊◊◊◊, am I the baddy?
