Cont: The Trials of Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito: Part 32

The final Supreme Court in the murder matter was 2015. In 2017, the final Supreme Court dealing with Sollecito's compensation reaffirmed Knox was at the cottage during the murder of Mez as a matter of 'absolute certainty'. This is objective and factual. Reality.
And they based it on her RETRACTED "confession".

What FORENSIC evidence can SCIENTIFICALLY place Knox or Sollecito at the cottage the night of Nov. 1? That means forensic evidence that CANNOT be scientifically explained by Knox living in the cottage and Sollecito being a visitor. So no 'confession' (retracted), no "RS's footprint on the mat" (never proved), no Curatolo (unreliable), no "women's shoeprint (disproved), no "blood footprints" (disproved), etc.

As I patiently explained before, a crime scene is rarely a sterile one. It is not a hospital ward. In a grotty students accommodation there WILL be dust on the floor no matter how often you clean up.
Well, no shin, Sherlock. Vixensplaining.

This can come in with your shoes or outdoor clothing from outside.
True. Just as DNA can come in on your shoes...or shoe coverings... and transferred to the floor. That's why the police's/forensic officers' shoe coverings MUST be changed in between room. Which they did NOT do as evidenced by the police videos.

All trained forensic scientists at crime scene know it is not a sterile laboratory they are looking at, which is why in criminal law there is a legal standard of a DNA sample of needing to be significant to at least 11 alleles (or markers/loci).
With Stefanoni claiming there were 15-alleles matching Kercher when, in fact, there were only six.

The bra that was torn from Mez' body was found some distance from the corpse, at her feet. Therefore the fact of fragments of DNA from 'unknown males' can be safely disregarded as background noise.
Not 'background noise'...DNA resulting form contamination.

What can't be explained is how Sollecito's FULL - above and beyond tough legal standards - is on the inner bend of the bra clasp which had fallen off or had been ripped off and was found UNDER the body.
You know as well as we do because we've already discussed it: Stefanoni counted NINE out of 15 alleles that were UNDER the peak heights accepted as alleles and not stutter.
As explained to you earlier, it was UNDER her body BEFORE it was collected ACROSS THE ROOM IN A PILE OF DEBRIS. No one, including you, can reasonably claim that bra hook had his DNA on Nov. 1 or 2.

It really is not possible for Stefanoni to have 'transferred it with her glove' six weeks later.
Stop inventing 'fact' whenever it suits you. If that were true, which it's not, then the prosecution would have presented that as evidence. They did not.

Several studies on gloves have shown that surgical gloves can transfer DNA of innocent persons to a crime scene. This phenomenon has also been observed during laboratory examinations, with DNA being transferred from exhibits to gloves and from gloves to other exhibits

She denies it was 'dirty' . The photo the defence has desperately put forward likely shows a shadow of some sort.
LOL! She can deny it all day long. The police video doesn't lie. From the Marasca MR.
“Regarding the possible contamination of the sample, the appellate judges ignored the photographic materials included in the court records, which clearly demonstrated possible contamination in the way the clasp was treated, being passed from hand to hand by persons wearing dirty latex gloves.”

There is really no feasible way in which Sollecito's DNA is well and truly on that bra clasp without his having pressed it on. You are in conspiracy cuckoo land if you believe DNA flies underneath locked doors and underneath bodies. Face reality, Sollecito placed his DNA on her bra.
Again, you just make up whatever 'facts' you need at the moment. You are in cuckoo land when you deny proven scientific fact because you can't accept the truth.

The case of Annie Lee disproves your rubbish. She was murdered and stuffed into a wall in a Harvard lab. Discovered on her body was the DNA of a man who had been dead for years before Lee was murdered. Did he "press hard" on her body to transfer his DNA?

Whoa! I didn't say he was a member of the mafia. However, it would be no surprise if he has contacts (and he was put in touch with Bongiorno, who is hardly a good barrister but seems to get results for her wealthy clients). In addition, he might well be a close relative of Rocco. Certainly there was some kind of sting going on, first with Hellmann and C&V, and then with Marasca- Bruno. Yours is the conspiracy theory because you believe AK and RS were set up by the prosecutor, a ridiculous idea, The more extreme cognitive dissonance is resolved by people in the smoking/drinking example as being 'the nanny state is trying to control our behaviour', so that affords a psychological solution for some. Others shrug and make out they do not care. Your attitude here is to try to pick piecemeal holes in the evidence that convicted the pair because you need to discover flaws that prove the pair were wrongly convicted.
Reality tells you that you can't carry someone's full profile DNA from one spot to another.
The case of Lukis Anderson (2013). An excerpt from an article on a CBS News website. Anderson spent five months behind bars before this...

SAN JOSE (KPIX 5) -- DNA transferred by a paramedic may have led to an innocent man being jailed for months in a South Bay murder case, despite being hospitalized several miles away when the crime occurred.

Charges were dropped against 26-year-old Lukis Anderson last month, after five months behind bars. Anderson was charged in the death of Monte Sereno millionaire Raveesh Kumra, after his DNA was found on the victim's fingernails. He was facing life in prison and possibly the death penalty in the case.

While Kumra died during a home invasion robbery on the night of November 30th, Anderson had an airtight alibi.

"At least every defense attorney you ask, it doesn't get any better than this," Santa Clara County Public Defender Kelley Kulick told KPIX 5.

On that night, Anderson was at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose with a blood alcohol level of .40, five times the legal limit. Authorities said he was passed out, stone cold drunk.

How did Anderson's DNA end up on Kumra's body? Authorities said the two paramedics that picked up Anderson, who was living on the streets, were at the murder scene a short time later.

"I'm certain that they were wearing gloves. We don't have any idea how it specifically happened. But it could be as simple as their bodies and their clothes coming into contact with Mr. Anderson and then also Mr. Kumra," said Santa Clara County Deputy District Attorney Kevin Smith.

Brian Hubbell with Rural Metro Ambulance told KPIX 5 they have the highest standards for cleanliness, including changing gloves and sanitizing the vehicles. When asked if the ambulances were clean, Hubbell said, "Absolutely."

"We don't have any definitive answers as to what may have caused the transmission of DNA going from one person to another. Once there's a conclusive decision on how that happened, we definitely can look at preventative measures going forward," Hubbell said.
And just like in the Kercher case, everyone involved insists they took all precautions, no path to contamination, etc., and yet it's proven to happen. Go figure.

That's the story you tell yourself.
No, that's the story that De Felice tells.

I'd love to see you provide a plausible alternate explanation for his statement. I repeatedly asked you quite some time ago to present one and, per usual, you just ignored it I expect the same evasion now.

Here's an exercise for you all. Put aside all preconceptions and beliefs. Cast aside your rose-tinted spectacles. Pluck out the jaundiced eye. Eschew the romantic fairytales. Then tell me why you think this:

I am sure Stacyhs will be along shortly to provide the usual cock and bull story about how the first is really also Guede's if you squint your eyes a bit. Perhaps perform a little origami.

Epic fail.

This - http://www.injusticeinperugia.org/footprints-04.html - explains everything properly. Those two goons working for the prosecution didn't have the first idea what they were doing.

For your next comedy routine, pray remind us what the same two goons had to say regarding the saturated blood/water partial footprint on the highly-tufted bathmat, and their risible attempts to compare it "with nano-millimetre" (LMFAO) accuracy to inked reference prints made on paper against a hard flat surface. I'll get the popcorn :D

Naseer Ahmad was extremely well versed in this case. He came from the same part of Lahore as Mez' mother, Arlene, and as a consequence of his interest, he spent a lot of time in Perugia and attended some of the trial and followed it closely. He was also extremely intelligent and therefore I respect what he has to say. It does not follow that one has to agree with everything he says. You have to be aware when reading anyone's opinion that it is their view. You will agree that the view of a MAGA-voting moron has less caché than someone educated in Economics. For example, PM Carney of Canada (re tariffs). Likewise, I will take the view of Naseer more seriously than someone simply repeating soundbites about 'haters' like a nine-year-old simply because - I dunno - perhaps it makes them feel part of a granfalloon, with dopamine hits from being with fellow MAGA Reform types who feel the same happy buzz in spouting off ill-considered nonsense as each other.
Nice try. Ahmad (aka Man from Atlan) is nuts. He literally thinks he's God...or was it Jesus?

In his deific-being guise, didn't he also make disgusting claims that he could cure sick children.....? I'd certainly respect and admire his point of view. Not.

According to you,
a) Like Guede, Knox only stepped in blood with her LEFT shoe.
b) Unlike Guede, Knox only left ONE shoeprint in the entire cottage.
c) Vinci did not show in his own presentation, that the print matched Guede's Nike Outbreak.
Even Massei doesn't agree with you:
It cannot in fact be excluded that Guede alone tread on the cushion lying on the floor, to the exclusion of Knox (the smaller dimensions of the right foot can be explained by the characteristics of the underlying surface,..,

Neither Hellmann nor Marasca agreed with you or Boemia-Rinaldi. I can provide Vinci's slide show where he proves that it was Guede's shoe but why bother? You'll just handwave it away.

In his deific-being guise, didn't he also make disgusting claims that he could cure sick children.....? I'd certainly respect and admire his point of view. Not.
I do recall that he claimed to be able to cure children of autism. As the mother of an adult child on the spectrum, that kind of **** really pisses me off.

Once again you appear to be a complete stranger to the truth. Knox' sure and absolute certain presence at the cottage during the murder 'of the young Ms Kercher' is due to her washing her hands of Mez' blood (this is spelt out in Marasca-Bruno's final MR as a finding of fact). Mez' blood was mixed with Knox' blood as Knox went to rinse the knife under the tap after stabbing Mez in the neck viciously. The fact you cannot understand DNA analysis is not a get-out clause. Please do not trouble yourself with the usual clap trap about the sun rising in the west when it comes to Knox.

It's not 'proven'. The defence in that particular case managed to raise the element of doubt that it might have happened.

:id: :id: :id:

Knox' sure and absolute certain presence at the cottage during the murder 'of the young Ms Kercher' is due to her washing her hands of Mez' blood (this is spelt out in Marasca-Bruno's final MR as a finding of fact).
Please present any scientific evidence presented in court that Amanda's DNA was from epithelial cells or that it was mixed with Kercher's blood that night. HINT: you can't because none was ever presented. It was an assumption not based on any scientific evidence because it's not possible to do so. That's why even Massei didn't refer to it has her blood but only as her "biological material" or "DNA".
Even Stefanoni admitted DNA can be deposited days, even weeks, before. Knox brushed her teeth that morning in that sink. The collection swab doesn't know one set of DNA from another. This is just another example of your denial of scientific facts when it suits you.

A principle that can be used to frame possible interpretations is that we know that blood has a high level of DNA in it. So, if there is an apparent mixture of two individuals, and one of the individuals is present at a very high level while the other one is minute, there are at least two possible explanations (neither of which are necessarily more likely). 1: There is a lot of blood from one person mixed with a small amount of blood from a second person or 2: The major DNA donor was bleeding and the blood was deposited on an area that contained a trace DNA component from a second individual (e.g. saliva, perspiration, touch DNA). Another issue is that there is no way to determine if both sources of DNA were deposited in/on the stain at the same time."

Mez' blood was mixed with Knox' blood as Knox went to rinse the knife under the tap after stabbing Mez in the neck viciously.
Wait a minute! You just claimed it was Knox's epithelial cells in the mixed sample from washing her hands. Now it's her blood? I do wish you'd get you stories straight.
The fact you cannot understand DNA analysis is not a get-out clause.
I understand it much better than you apparently. Actually, I think you do understand that mixed DNA samples are extremely common, especially in shared living quarters and that they can be left at different times and become mixed when one is later deposited over or next to another and then both collected with a swab. I think you understand that but, like with anything else that doesn't fit your bias, you deny or ignore it.

Please do not trouble yourself with the usual clap trap about the sun rising in the west when it comes to Knox.

What the hell are you talking about? Anderson was arrested and spent five months in prison because his DNA was found on the victim of a murder. Except Anderson was laying in a hospital, out cold. He couldn't possibly have been at the scene of the murder. So there is NO DOUBT his DNA got transferred by the EMS workers, though no one was able to determine how since they supposedly followed all the correct procedures, including changing gloves, something the SP failed to do.

There is what happened, and it has never been in dispute. So I have no clue whose defense you're referring to, what doubt could be raised, or what "might" have happened.

That's funny coming from someone who writes for a website run by a nut case who leaves multiple comments under his own articles because no one else does.
