Ed Israel/US Attacks Iran /Yet Another Country/Iran

The purpose of our airstrikes wasn't to destroy those supplies. The purpose was to disable enrichment capabilities.
WRONG. Our strikes were done to prevent them from having a nuclear weapon. Destroying their existing supply of HEI is clearly part of that.

And your boy failed.

The findings call into question US President Donald Trump’s assertion that the bombing had “obliterated” Iran’s nuclear programme. In an apparent reference to Fordow, Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform on Thursday: “Nothing was taken out of [the] facility. Would take too long, too dangerous, and very heavy and hard to move!”

You have a picture of a patch. Who made the patch? You have no idea. Who is wearing the patch? You have no idea. Where was the picture taken? You have no idea. When was the picture taken? You have no idea. Who took the picture? You have no idea. Is there even more than one of these patches in existence? You have no idea. And yet, you think this unsourced picture means something.

It does not.
Lebanon is now a failed stated, repeatedly attacked. Iraq is hardly better. Now Syria. Finally, Iran, in case they try to stop Israel as it eventually approaches the Euphrates. Gaza in rubble, genocide in full swing, the West Bank being ethnically cleaned as we speak. The nation-states and territories comprising Greater Israel have all been under attack by Israel or at its behest.

Stubborn, willful blindness is hard to distinguish from Exodus Extremist nonsense, because it is born of the same thing. (BTW, you forgot to explain the relation between the map on the patch and the permission structure provided in the radical tribal literature, same text that justifies genocide.)

Instance among many of intention to declare owned property part of Israel; starts at 10:30. Sickening. Prior in the video, Hitchens does his best to educate, for those who have ears to hear.

While on the topic of the West Bank, should you wish to continue posturing, please provide the plan for removal of the illegal Israeli settlements in the West Bank, the challenge no Ameraeli cheerleader has dared face, all while clamoring for denunciation of Hamas.

Failure to do so is an admission to lying about standing to principle or law, and confession as a card-carrying Exodus Extremist, showering blessings on the coldblooded mass killers of women and children, brethren to Nazis in spirit and method.

Destroying an existing supply is one method to advance that goal. It is not the only method to do so. That supply is useful for making a nuclear weapon, but it is not sufficient on its own. It still needs enrichment facilities. Absent enrichment facilities, that uranium cannot be turned into a nuclear weapon. Conversely, if Iran has enrichment facilities, they don't actually need that supply of partially enriched uranium. It's useful because it speeds up the process, but they can make more from raw uranium ore, provided they have the enrichment facilities. Enrichment facilities are an absolute requirement for Iran to make nuclear weapons. A stockpile of partially enriched uranium is useful but neither sufficient nor necessary. The priority target was always the enrichment facilities, not the stockpiles. Anyone with a clue about how nuclear weapons work understands that.

Israel isn't approaching the Euphrates. This is just delusional.

No. Anonymous leakers claimed that one preliminary analysis claimed 3 months. Nothing about that story indicates that this was a consensus opinion of US intelligence as a whole, or even a consensus opinion of the DIA. Nothing about that story indicates that the analysis was reliable, given how quickly it was produced, and in fact it's widely been reported that the analysis was low confidence. Nothing about that story tells us what the current intelligence assessment is. More recent stories coming out indicate that US intelligence opinion has indeed evolved.

How does a Trump lackey making an unsupported claim that coincidentally aligns with exactly what Trump wants to hear indicate that the "US intelligence opinion has indeed evolved"?

And what's the IAEA opinion?

"Craters are now visible at the Fordow site, Iran’s main location for enriching uranium at 60%, indicating that the use of ground-penetrating munitions. This is consistent with statements from the US. At this time, no one - including the IAEA - is in a position to have fully assessed the underground damage at Fordow. Given the explosive payload utilized, and the extreme vibration-sensitive nature of centrifuges, very significant damage is expected to have occurred."

Here's another IAEA opinion from that same link:
Let me again recall past General Conference resolutions that state that armed attacks on nuclear facilities should never take place and could result in radioactive releases with grave consequences within and beyond the boundaries of the State which has been attacked.

I therefore again call on maximum restraint. Military escalation not only threatens lives, it also delays us from taking the diplomatic path.

Do you agree with that one too? Or just the one that confirms your bias?

Do you agree with that one too?
Which part? Attacks on nuclear facilities can indeed result in radioactive releases. I agree with that. They can produce "grave consequences within and beyond the boundaries of the State which has been attacked". I agree with that too. These are opinions in the sense that they are not proven, but they pertain to factual matters. An attack either produces a radioactive release, or it doesn't. That's a factual matter. The IAEA's expertise is relevant to the evaluation of these factual matters.

The opinion that "armed attacks on nuclear facilities should never take place" is an opinion in the sense that it's not even about factual matters. And I don't agree with that opinion, because it's stupid. Attacks on nuclear facilities are risky, and those risks should be very carefully evaluated. Radioactive release is an undesirable outcome we should generally try to avoid. But never? Not under any possible circumstance? Not even in order to stop a nuclear war?

Why would I agree with that? Why would you agree with that? The IAEA has no particular expertise with which to make such a claim.

And also note: there WAS no radioactive release from the US attack.

What is the timeline at which the progress of a military nuclear program can legitimately be considered a clear and present danger?
If the current program is set back at least 5 years, that means that Israel has no excuse to attack Iran for that time, assuming that their last attack was legitimate (which it obviously wasn't).

What an idiotic conclusion. Nuclear weapons are perhaps the gravest threat to Israel, but they are hardly the only threat. Iran has demonstrated both a capacity and willingness to kill Israelis with non-nuclear weapons. Depending on the circumstances, Israel could easily have a reason to strike at Iran for reasons other than their nuclear program.

How does a Trump lackey making an unsupported claim that coincidentally aligns with exactly what Trump wants to hear indicate that the "US intelligence opinion has indeed evolved"?
As opinions which differ from the stated conclusion of the administration are weeded out for being unfit, the US intelligence pool will adapt to provide opinions that do not differ. Thus, evolution.

He’s pulled a Biden. His advisors are keeping him in a bunker so that they can run things the way they want.
No.
Biden was an intelligent president who was willing to listen to other intelligent people.
Tantrump is an insecure moron with the attention span traditionally attributed to a goldfish.

Whatever suits the Rapist-in-Chief and Nehanyahu.

I see your Rapist-in-chief's latest lie is to accuse Democrats of leaking intelligence data.
Pathetic really.

You have lost the plot. Trump had nothing to do with my post. That was about Khomeini, and why no one has seen him recently.

Talk about letting your biases color your interpretation.

Israel isn't approaching the Euphrates. This is just delusional.
The progress since 2001 is certainly there, the willingness to destabilize surrounding governments is there, the taking of land is constant (now in Syria once again), the existence of many fanatics who dream of Greater Israel is there, the constant claim to more and more land is there. Question of time, should Israel be left to its own devices.

But where is your excuse for the settlements? Evasion means what it means: You have nothing but fanatical religious extremism lacking reason or measure afoul of law, in short, brutal tribal madness. Hooga booga! Savages are the new civilized!

The progress since 2001 is certainly there,
In 2005, Israel removed every Israeli settlement from Gaza. Obviously this was part of a dastardly plot to steal land from Gaza. At that rate, they will have occupied all of the Sinai Peninsula in… -3,200 years.

My god, you’re on to something!
