And how will Iran respond?
The same way smaller nations are now concluding they must act:
acquire a nuclear arsenal at all cost. This is the learning point from having watched the US and Israel use negotiations to: (1) gaslight opponents (2) identify negotiators, (3) kill them, (4) launch unexpected attacks by a stab in the back in the middle of the night.
Larger nations are further concluding, beyond their own need for more nukes, that all alliances with the US are dead. Japan, SK and China are realizing they share more interests with each other, as potential targets, than they do with the aggressively duplicitous West. Taiwan, the most strategic asset in Pacific alliances to date, must now conclude it is better off as a faithful partner to China and Asia.
Everyone is concluding that as climate change ramps up conflicts over resources, the US and its remaining allies will be Enemy Number One.
Going forward, it's the settler colonial, imperialist, Bible-thumping, Abrahamic
weirdos (OMG, brain worms the size of anacondas!) who are the world's enemy, full stop. The spawn of that asswipe Abraham have simply gone too far, lied for too long, killed too many for their totem poles.
My own reaction is that I'd like to see Trump and Netanyahu hoisted on a pike, left to die in extreme agony, me tugging all the while on their twitching ankles, and have their dead eyes plucked by crows as they are left to rot in the hot sun.

NUKES! Nukes are our future! Say it again, "Nukes are nation's very best friends!"
"Thanks, Yankee Boys, y'all are truly something special. I now have me a budget for the nukes I always wanted. War!"
Just what the atavistic, ignorant 21st century called for.
