Trump's Second Term

It's the last step but Gemini agrees with me that it gets harder the more pure it gets. Maybe not exponentially.
Iran seems to have gotten good at it tho?

Going for the Bomb: Part II, Tasks to Make a Crude Nuclear Weapon

by further enriching its safeguarded stocks of 20 and 60 percent enriched uranium to 90 percent or weapon-grade. As of September 2024, it could produce enough weapon-grade uranium for a nuclear weapon in seven days and have enough for six to nine nuclear weapons in a month,
ETA : Apparently 60% enriched uranium is quite capable of being bomb fuel, it’s just that 90% gives a bigger bang per kg.

What's your point?
That the part of the process they want to destroy (bombs etc) is the centrifuges. It is quite high tech, ast they spin fast and there is a system then to collect UF6. But the rest of it does not need to be protected so well and the final UO2 can be stored anywhere. But the amount is unknown. There have been no inspectors. It could be any amount. The minimum amount needed for a warhead is not in Wikipedia. I would say there is no bomb. It would need to be tested in some manner. They have not done that.

Donald's next target?

MAGA are already attacking them for not giving money to Veterans and 'Angel Moms' but aiding criminal gangs.

The Institute for Science and International Security disagrees. Current Iranian stock is pretty well established as is estimated needed for a weapon

Analysis of IAEA Iran Verification and Monitoring Report — May 2025

  • Iran can convert its current stock of 60 percent enriched uranium into 233 kg of WGU in three weeks at the Fordow Fuel Enrichment Plant (FFEP), enough for 9 nuclear weapons, taken as 25 kg of weapon-grade uranium (WGU) per weapon.
  • Iran could produce its first quantity of 25 kg of WGU in Fordow in as little as two to three days.

Please note I didn't say it wasn't a problem for me. No, I am not under the impression the IAEA approves, and nor do I. I am not giving Iran the benefit of any doubt. I asked 2 questions I would like to know the answers to, and to get a sense of how confidently we know those answers: What's the scale of Iran's production, i.e. is this a technical breach on a sample size to provoke negotiations or a practical bomb-making amount, and what is the particular significance of 60%.
A technical breach to provoke negotiations?

You're trying to minimize the significance of something that nobody acting in good faith would be doing at all.

Potato, potato.

If you haven’t already seen it, Jon Stewart did a fun bit on the “urgency” of this strike.
