Why offer any carrot? We've seen such little retaliation from Iran that would warrant Israel changing its plans

All that Netanjahu has said is that they will bomb Iran because its developing a nuke.
There have been no stated goals, though now it seems that indeed they want Regimen Change.

According to the principle of Revealed Preference, this is absolutely NOT what the current Israeli leadership wants.
It doesn't even want its hostages back.

What it wants is a steady stream of wounded or killed Israeli and Jews, at home or abroad, to provide cover for a genocide.

I don't care about your opinion on what the Israeli leadership wants - what I care about is your claim about Iran deserving a carrot. It doesn't because the IDF has just pulled its pants down once again

Indeed, it is exactly a nuclear arsenal that would give Iran bargaining power in the region. Which is exactly why Iran will continue to pursue nuclear weapons no matter what. There is no carrot to offer Iran, other than de facto regional hegemony. And even then, they'd still pursue nuclear weapons in order to expand that hegemony.

It's a start. Then they can promise end funding rape squads, be thoroughly audited to ensure they keep their word and then maybe the humiliation of their armed forces will stop
