There has always been a conflict between the "Let's get rid of all the brown people!" crowd and the "We need vast numbers of illegal workers to drive wages through the floor!" crowd. The whole idea that we were getting rid of the "bad hombres" allowed people to ignore this contradiction, but the fact that there are not that many "bad hombres" to deport is rearing its head. Miller wants to deport 3000 people a day indefinitely, and you can't really do that without hitting honest hard-working immigrants who just happen not to be documented (If you could find every last one of them instantly, you would probably get rid of all of MS-13 and Tren De Aragua in a week at that rate).

Trump says he's going to pay himself for a couple of giant flags to go along with it, because of course otherwise nobody would know where they are. It was another of those cases where he claims "people have wanted to do it for hundreds of years" but for some reason not been able to. Plus he tries to make out he's paying. As if.

Shame no-one ever thought to put a flagpole on the roof or anything... Oh, wait.

Can I believe that? No, no I can't. But more to the point, why is that important, with everything that has been going on, why does trump think it's important that he is "number one on tiktok?"

Can you remember any other US president acting like this, talking this way? Again, no, no I can't.

No, of course we can't believe that. Like just about everything you say, it's false.
