Trump's Second Term

The stupid, it really ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ burns.

The really ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ stupid have been given the matches.

The bit that I can't get ahead around is they were given the matches, by people who had a choice. That said, I am from the nation that decided Brexit was a good idea, so people in glass houses, and all that.

Somehow I got shunted onto the wrong timeline in or around 2016, and I don't know who has authority to correct this obvious error.

Talking to active duty soldiers like this about their own country, and probably for a few of them at least, their homes. This is the President of the United States. Time to wear out them diamonds.

What in the actual ◊◊◊◊ is going on here with this ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊?? When is this ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ going to ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ end? WHAT THE ACTUAL ◊◊◊◊

Ok I'm better.
It's Ok, let it all out, we're here for you. :)

He wants to encourage the south to secede, and to get rid of California, but also to seize Canada and Greenland.

So, although I don't know why, his master plan is to recentre the United States slightly further to the North and West <edit> East I meant, obvs.
The South to secede? That's the core of his support. He needs it. He'll want to get rid of the Left Coast and the central northeast. But not New Hampshire and Maine, they're reasonably conservative.
Recentering southy and east would be closer to the mark.
Not that he'll get rid of those blue states. They'll just be subjected to doubled federal taxes and barred from voting in federal elections until they vote the (far) right way.

The presumption that he does not want the South to secede relies on the presumption that he would not go with it. From the new golden cupolas of Richmond he, being the greatest winning leader of all time, will win a new civil war and take the straggling Union states as colonies.

That's probably not stupid enough, but I'm working on it.

Shouldn't that bus instead be one of those little battery- or pedal-powered cars they sell for young children, or maybe a Big Wheel?
Someone suggested a short bus, too. I can imagine Dump, Elonia, Kennedy, MTG, and the others riding it to school with an exasperated bus driver trying to keep them all calm.

Can't have our fine military establishments using DEI names, can we?
What I love about all this is that the guy who is so busy fulminating against "insurrectionists" is not only the same one who, as noted already, pardoned 1500 of them as one of his very first official acts, but is also now renaming military installations after some of the most noted ones in our nation's history. I mean, ok, he doesn't like the "DEI" names, but does he really need to go so far as to discard them in favor of actual, literal traitors?

Yeah, well, he's not going to give up any of the other states, is he?

TRUMP: Los Angeles would be burning today, just like their houses were burning months ago. Generations of Army heroes did not shed their blood on distant shores only to watch our country be destroyed by invasion ... as commander in chief, I will not let that happen

FORT BRAGG TROOPS: *Hurrrraa!*

STFU, draft-dodger.

Seriously, every legacy "journalist" that doesn't remind him of his cowardice are cowards themselves.

And... we're back to this point, already.

Dozens Of Journalists Targeted, Shot, Detained While Covering LA Protests, Press Org Says
“I never thought for one moment that I’d actually have to be fearful of law enforcement during a public protest," said one photojournalist hospitalized after getting shot in the leg.

A number of specific events (that likely should be prosecuted as crimes, objectively speaking) are noted, but bigger picture?

The LA Press Club joined several press freedom organizations Monday expressing concern to Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem that federal officers are violating journalists’ First Amendment rights while they cover the protests.

In some cases, federal officers appear to have deliberately targeted journalists who were doing nothing more than their job covering the news,” a letter addressed to Noem by the organizations states.

“Under the First Amendment, journalists who are merely reporting on events and not interfering with federal operations cannot be subject to general dispersal orders and ‘cannot be punished for the violent acts of others,’ and the ‘proper response’ to any unlawful conduct is ‘to arrest those who actually engage in such conduct, rather than to suppress legitimate First Amendment conduct as a prophylactic measure,’” the letter continues.

I'm actually very mildly surprised that it took this long to bring us back to the pointed police violence against the press that pointedly rose in the later part of the first Trump Administration. Violence against the press in general has been rising as the Republican Party descends ever further into madness and culthood, of course.

Most ICE agents assaulting perfectly legal folks are criminals, by definition. They are breaking US laws.
And this is a step beyond that. They've paved the way for mass criminality that's difficult to challenge in the moment because it's indistinguishable from official government action, so naturally, such criminality is on the rise.

As with so very much else that the right-wing does, their pretense at upholding some principle greatly undermines that principle.

Trump's Vision!

Q: Is the two-state solution a goal of the State Department currently?

TAMMY BRUCE: When it comes to the policy of the United States, that sits with President Donald Trump

Q: But the secretary of state is in charge of foreign policy

BRUCE: Secretary Rubio implements President Trump's vision

Basicly, they have no solution except allowing Netenyahu to continue his holocaust.
