But but but... Both.Sides.

Maybe both the BLM rioters and the Jan 6th rioters were in the wrong?
You were pointed to objective evidence which conclusively proved you wrong, which you ignored.
Trump has done things which are completely unprecedented, including trying to prevent the peaceful transfer of power to a legitimately elected successor. He deliberately incited a mob of his crackpot supporters to attack the Capitol FFS. Those responding to his actions, and the danger he represents to American democracy, have a legitimate cause for concern. You might think those concerns are occasionally overstated, but pretending they're no more justified than those expressed about Harris is not reasonable.
Not every protester on Jan 6 stormed the Capitol. The ones with some still functioning brain cells left when it became violent. The truly stupid ones joined in the violence and/or entering the Capitol where they caused damage and mayhem. I have no sympathy for the latter.
It was extremely difficult for me to accept Trump's election in 2016 but not once did I ever consider resorting to violence or trying to overthrow the results. There is no excuse for that.
Exactly.
I spent almost 2 years working 12 hours a day, 6 days a week on the 1980 elections. And we got crushed. The only time I ever cried about the outcome of an election. I got drunk and I got over it. Since then, I've been on the losing side in more than a few elections.
I don't get drunk any more. But I still get over it. That's what you do.
I enjoy (and by that I mean “enjoy”) every time I see or hear someone yammering about how they’re going to “take our country back.” It isn’t your country, twinkle toes, it’s everybody’s country.I'd like to say I feel sorry for the morons that stormed the Capitol and found themselves in legal trouble. If they just happened were totally clueless to why they were they were there, then yes they were relatively innocent.
You can disagree with me all day long. And supporters of Trump can disagree all day long. Not only is that their right, it is a necessary component to a high functioning democratic government. But what isn't their right is to attempt to prevent the legal transfer of power. It isn't their right to commit many acts of violence.
I know it's tough to accept the will of the people when the will of the people says your guy lost. But it happens. Get use to it. Sometimes you lose.

But not fully. There are the injuries, deaths, and damages. There is also long lasting harm to the political system, to democracy, and to society in general. Though less tangible, I think these are the most harmful factors in the long run.I'm not addressing the incredibly delusional "caused no actual harm". It was already addressed.
