I'm sure I can't be the only one smelling desperate insincere flattery here. Like anyone would believe Musk would actually admire the trashifying of the Oval Office with a gaudy rococo gilded aesthetic that screams mad dictator?

Yes. He only had to say it straight enough that Trump didn't detect insincerity in the flattery. I have to hand it to Musk here, the choice of the loaded word "majesty" was a pretty sharp stab.

All completely deniable of course.

What a horrible person. Biden is out of office, yet trump continues to attack him in a way no other national figure, much less a US president, has ever spoken. So crude and hateful. Remember trump's Easter message?

For me, the worst part of all of this is I doubt trump believes a word of it. It's just rhetoric he employs to please and entertain his base. What a despicable human being.

I still recall trump's words after his shocking 'sit-down' in the Oval Office with Volodymyr Zelenskyy. He said the confrontation he and Vance staged would "make great TV." That's what this is all about? Making "great TV?" What a nightmare.


Is this what the US economy will look like when trump is done?

So long as your words are praising him I'm sure he will not hear your insincerity unless you really labour it. Even if he senses it, you're still praising him even if reluctantly because you don't dare criticise him so he still thinks he wins.

Correct. My reason for asking is simply because, not having owned a TV for over 40 years,* I had no knowledge of Donnie Pamperstime** until he was nominated in 2015. I'm still hazy on what in hell he was known for in days of auld lang syne. However sleazy, slimy, trashy, and muddy his life has been, wasn't he at least occasionally better than -- THIS?

* Jesus's mercy, can anybody say that old?
** That's a reference to a TV ad, right? Must be, cuz I draw a blank otherwise. I cruise the diaper aisle pretty fast at Krogers.

Great TV would be Trump being punched in the face and sat on his arse by an angry foreign dignity, live nationwide from the Oval Office.

** No, it's "Emperor PampersTime" and it refers to Star Wars, the first time I used it was "Emperor PampersTime has dissolved the Senate".
