All the students in question have valid US student visas, which must surely have involved the US government already knowing their names, addresses, description, blood types and heights above sea level, etc., before they even landed in the country. Trump could have that list within minutes if he asked for it. Unless...DOGE has deleted that database, or Trump didn't even bother asking.

All other nations should issue travel warnings to their citizens that it is not safe to travel to the U.S. They are in more danger from DHS than they are from street criminals.

Remind me again how many times Australia has entered wars at the request of the US and how many troops lost their lives?

I know many, many people, including members of my family, who have cancelled any thought of travel to the US.

That's how it works in the UK as well, I think. It was certainly the case when I was at uni: overseas students brought in a lot of money.

Yeah, it did occur to me too that there's just a chance Musk's vandalism means the government now no longer knows who it issued student visas to in order to take a place at Harvard.

But of course it's far more likely the orange blob just barked an order to sound like he's commanding Harvard to get into line and obey him. It's as likely as it is that he just made up that 31% number.
