Transwomen are not Women - Part 15

I'm sorry. I've read this three times, and I cannot make sense of it. Would you mind clarifying it for me?
It's the idea of having women be represented in the halls of power. Women in elected office. Women in corporate board rooms. Women fighter pilots. Etc.

Imagine the slap in the face to women, when a man in a dress counts as a woman for the purpose of proportional representation.

The most egregious case I know of was Admiral Rachel Levine, who was briefly touted as the first female to hold such a high rank in that branch of service.

The SNP (Scottish National Party) is so thoroughly captured by gender ideology that it is entirely possible a trans identified male could be appointed as Minister for Public Health and Women's Health. And they would do that with a straight face!

The story which first made me question my assumptions on this issue, and brought me to this thread, was about a recently self ID'd transwoman being given a STEM "woman of the year" award. Someone who'd never experienced any sex discrimination whatsoever during education, training or recruitment. As a female engineer who had to fight against such discrimination her whole career, it just made me mad.

A friend pointed out something that I'd missed. Some years ago Stonewall was lobbying explicitly for the single-sex exemptions in the EA to be removed. It's quite clear from this that they knew exactly what the law actually was, and it wasn't what they wanted it to be, and they wanted it changed. However they realised that simply pretending that the law was as they wanted it to be was easier than getting it changed.

It's a nice grift if you can pull it off. Offer your services to organisations, for a (pretty steep) price, to train them on the law. Take the money and train them on the law as you would like it to be rather than as it is. Several people pointed this out, but that didn't stop it happening. Organisations were happy to pay to outsource this function, and simply took Stonewall's word for it. Many became very invested in the scenario they were being "trained" in - the training was very cleverly designed in that respect - and are now screaming blue murder because it has turned out that they paid for a lie and became committed to a lie.

Stonewall knew all along it was a lie.
Shouldn´t these organisations sue Stonewall and ask for a money refund, at least?

But, stunning and brave!

"Sarah Jane" Baker was convicted in the 1980s of the horrific torture and attempted murder of a teenage boy. It was only luck that his victim, whom he had left to die, was found and rescued, otherwise it would have been a murder conviction.

He is now one of the darlings of the trans movement, regularly heard inciting his hearers to violence against "terfs". He's out on licence and should certainly have been recalled to prison for this, but being trans, he gets away with anything.

Here's some more detail. This is one of the "dolls" that Catsmate is urging us to protect.

This is an interesting take on trans in the military that I think I agree with. Many of them seem to be doing it to get all the surgery and medical treatment funded by the taxpayer. And is anyone who is liable to be thrown into a tailspin by being called sir instead of ma'am really the sort of person you want to trust with your life?

Of course, it's that account Thermal doesn't approve of again, so it can safely be ignored.

I have noticed that our interlocutors have vanished like farts in the wind.

I've been thinking. If you really believed that trans-identifying men were all sweet, harmless, self-effacing "dolls" and the most marginalised group in society, and you were quite invested in advancing their political aims, maybe you would get quite angry and feel you needed to withdraw from a thread that kept shoving reality in front of your face, for the sake of your mental health.

(Don't know why this won't render, but it's not a pretty picture.)

Honestly, I could cry. I joined the party in 1992 and had little inkling that it wasn't wholly dedicated to achieving Scottish independence. I went to branch meetings and conferences, I went out campaigning, and it was a big part of my life. I left in 2021, and in hindsight I should have seen it in 2017.

Getting "this page doesn't exist" for both the twitter links you recently posted, Rolfe. Which might explain why they aren't unfurling.

You really don't understand how trying to redefine words whose meaning has been universally understood since language was invented, and prioritising the feelings of the tiny number of males who object to being strip searched by males over those of the huge number of females who object to being strip searched by males, can be interpreted as reality denial on a level which makes its advocates unfit for public office?

And yes, I know that the reality denials of Trump, from climate change to tariffs, are far more numerous and harmful. But it's much easier to gaslight the underinformed into believing he is right about such things than that they are wrong about something they've instinctively understood since they learned to speak. Only a relatively unusual type of (well intentioned, desperate not to offend) mind can be gaslit about something as fundamental as the difference between the sexes.
By advocating for transphobia you are only letting the nazis win.

Our side is not the one where a prominent member is advocating for men to enter women's bathroom and shooting anybody they find in there.
