Israel really is doing a number on themselves. Will they start arresting all the Hasidim who routinely spit on Christians in Jerusalem, for terrorism related charges???

The return of hostages is paramount, and it's believed this outcome can be hastened due to 'pressures' against HAMAS in all spheres (including forcing them to tap into their stolen aid warehouses in order to feed these desperate people they're supposedly so concerned about).

What is wrong with the Gazans that they don't revolt, and bring about the collapse of the jihadist fundamentalist scum? It's almost as if they ENJOY being screwed by Hamas!

American civilian companies are gearing up to facilitate a new aid transfer system.
It'll be insufficient, at best.
It will be attacked (by Hamas) at worst.

Yes, the people of Gaza have been collectively punished by HAMAS. No question about that.
Where is the UN? Instead of giving an ultimatum to HAMAS requiring them to release their captives (including bodies) in the next 48 hours, thus bringing to a close this entire sordid chapter of Palestinian terror, we are seeing TheWorld™ unfairly and dishonestly castigating Israel for the crisis.
The UNSC inaction and lack of interest towards putting pressure on HAMAS indicates to me that TheWorld™ is OK with the terrorists' refusing to release them.

"...immediate and unconditional release of all remaining hostages..." is the bleating from Turtle Bay, and it's being ignored by the Jihadists, naturally.

When those 14,000 infants (?) are deceased and buried (if not this week, then certainly by June 1st) will that motivate the Gazan mothers to finally take to the streets and tell HAMAS exactly what they think of them? I doubt it.

Seems Israel actually is waking up.

The political leader, who is not a current member of Knesset, added that “a sane country does not fight against civilians, does not kill babies as a hobby, and does not give itself the aim of expelling populations.” Golan accused the current government of being “full of vengeful types with no morals and no ability to run a country in a time of crisis. This endangers our existence.”
Far-right National Security Minister Ben Gvir said Golan apparently “took a page from the Hamas spokesman,” while Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi called Golan a “terrorist”...

There are many in Israel who object to the fact this war is messy enough to be causing civilians to suffer in Gaza.

Rhetoric is hot, because Israelis are hot.

There are even some IDF Reservists pushing back on orders to re-enter Gaza.
Those soldiers will go to jail.

Chief-of-Staff Gen. Zamir summed it up quite nicely:
"We are united in arms to defeat the enemy here in Gaza..." (talking to troops during a situational assessment, including evaluating the aid truck routes and distribution security, which is beng undertaken by American contractors).

Channel 13’s defense analyst Alon Ben David says he’s spoken to Israeli Air Force members who are beginning to express their discomfort about some of the strikes they’ve been carrying out in Gaza as of late.

There is an understanding among these air force members that Israel is now in a war of its choosing — as opposed to shortly after October 7, 2023, when Israel’s operations in Gaza seemed less politically motivated, Ben David says.

The shift has led to discomfort among these air force members who know that their strikes are killing hundreds of Palestinians, “and they’re asking themselves whether it is justified and whether it serves a purpose,” he continues.
 
The entire State of Israel is 'discomforted' by having to retake Gaza once more (what is this, the fourth or fifth time since 1947?) and "Air Force Members" (maybe some tank-truck driving refueling guys, who knows?) are not sure if this war continuing is in the best interests of the nation? It's not their call.

The IDF prisons can hold plenty of these AWOL subjects. No lawyers involved. These are men (and women) in uniform, and they have strict obligations upon oath or affirmation to maintain their adherence to command's orders of the day.

As of late, the IDF is holding lines, while making inroads across the truncated sectors of Gaza, putting in paved bypass routes, and taking the D9's into the abandoned refugee camps, clear-cutting swaths.
All these pilots have basically run out of targets, except for the few high-profile HAMAS guys they can locate using intelligence reports that "Here Ahmed is, he's just cooking breakfast in the kitchen. Second floor." KaBooM!

My, how the Holocaust trauma is playing out in full, like a child beaten by a drunk all his life turning to alcohol and beating his own children. This is sick, in a very real sociopsychological sense. Israel needs to undergo intense therapy. Palestinians, their victims, do as well. Only difference is that in the first instance, it should be mandated by law. We've all had enough of the Holocaust story serving as an endless excuse for further evil. Jews, sorry, do not sit above others on the human scale, whatever their primitive Canaanite god El might have been said to have said.

The last part. How do you think that could happen? How would they escape getting bombed by the IDF?

Israel has a right to defend itself and a right to exist but that doesn't justify justify the actions or stated intentions of the Israeli government.

If there is not enough food getting in (and basic maths says there isn't) the first to starbet to death will be infants. Even more than others, this is a man made famine imposed on hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians, with the justification that it's somehow going to save some hostages.

At the UN, this entire claim by Fletcher of "14,000 dead babies in 48 hrs." has been shown to be a fabricated thing.

The original report's (Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs UNOCHA) timeframe is stated as one year, not two days.
But, Fletcher later doubled-down by indicating to reporters -- "I weighed with great thought and care what I should say," Fletcher replied. "I felt we needed to jolt the international community."

The IDF managed also to unalive Moataz Deeb, field commander of the rocket teams in N.Gaza.

For the record, the Israeli military has announced:
Over the past day, the IAF struck over 115 terror targets throughout the Gaza Strip. The targets included launchers, military structures, tunnels, terrorist cells, and additional terrorist infrastructure sites.
Simultaneously, the Israeli Navy, in cooperation with ground troops, conducted strikes on terror targets in northern Gaza.
