General Israel/Palestine discussion thread - Part 4

IAF pilots are wreaking havoc in both Gaza and Yemen.
They're literally just making the ground open up and swallow entire areas into the abyss of bomb craters.
Yes, thats why more and more people are calling this a genocide and losing support for Israel.

Yes, thats why (IDF and IAF successful missions against Islamist terrorists - .ed ) more and more people are calling this a genocide and losing support for Israel.

Yeah, more and more people are wrong.

As for 'support' for Israel, that's kinda not been forthcoming anyway from many quarters.
(See: the French)

"Instead of supporting the Western democratic countries in fighting the Islamist terrorist organizations and calling for the release of the hostages, Macron is once again demanding that Israel surrender and reward terrorism."

"Israel will not stop and will not surrender." -- statement from Israel's PM, as the IDF sends in the reserves and opens a battle phase code-named
Gideon's Chariots

Trump working on plan to permanently deport 1 million Gazans to Libya.

Libya needs the influx of workers and the billions of dollars of funds the US froze more than a decade ago.
That nation is also a hot mess, and is splintered and divided and open violence rages in some areas.

I don't expect Libya to follow through because if they do they will be kicked out of the Arab League, and probably face civil war.

There is going to be a need to alleviate the dire circumstances of Gazans, and why should Libya be VILIFIED and CASTIGATED for stepping up and getting a two-fer? Their entire economic situation will be improved since with an existing severe labor shortage, it's invaluable having an influx of ready-to-work Palestinians, with vast experience in the Israeli construction industry (there were hundreds of thousands of Israeli permits issued daily, prior to the Jihadists' takeover) and agricultural tech (that the Jews left behind after teaching the Gazans how to manage their irrigation and growing techniques for export-quality).

And, of course, for humanitarian alleviation of such widespread suffering, the Libyans would come out smelling like roses.

We already know what the capacity for aid distribution in Gaza would look like over the coming months, and nobody expects it to be anywhere near enough, even in the best of circumstances, which certainly an active battle zone is not, and this war is not even close to being done with.

Cuz that's what happens when you commit treason and are co-conspirators in racist war crimes.

Offering refugees shelter and respite is 'treason' ? Against who or what?

Providing internationally-sanctioned refugee relief is a 'war crime' now?

What 'race' are the Palestinians? Do they have some sort of special status at the top of the spectrum of suffering that all sectors of humanity endure worldwide? (starvation is acute, as global hunger continues to be a major challenge, exacerbated by factors like conflict, climate change, and economic instability. Nearly one in 11 people around the world go to bed hungry each night.)
Not sure where you get the idea that preserving a war-torn dire situation in Gaza is preferable for these distressed people instead of a valid and simple alternative.

Trump met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on his trip to the Gulf, as well as Palestinian Authority chairman Mahmoud Abbas, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, and Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa.
From all indications, the Gazans are going to be escorted out. The groundwork is being prepared for it. (literally, as IDF 'dozers and heavy equipment are creating new configuration to the actual landscape of Gaza, and HAMAS is being corralled).

By the way, while we're talking about Gazan losses and HAMAS' distress, it's being reported (Saudi media) that the recent IAF airstrikes against Sinwar's brothers (2 of them mohammed and zakaria) were successful and they're enjoying those 72 virgins.
Along with the bodies of ten of Sinwar's aides, who were also in the terror tunnel that IAF obliterated, as was the body of Hamas Rafah Brigade commander Mohammed Shabana. Buh-Bye, Shabana.

ETA: No idea what she's going on about, but it doesn't sound good.

Yep, war crime. Totally illegal under international law. No Arab state is going to participate in this madness. And if they do they will face civil war.

According to the IDF, spitting on an Israeli soldier is an act of terrorism. Thats how far they have come to dishonestly weaponizing the term.

I was horrified to see the shocking footage of a savage spitting in the face of an IDF officer,” the Cabinet minister added.

The Israel Police has since opened an investigation into the event

LOL!!!

Unsolicited and aggressive transfer of bodily fluids is always a heinous act of violence in my book.

Calling it an act of "terrorism" is like calling Auschwitz a summer camp. Its absurd, dishonest and such people who use such language deserve zero respect. A culture that thinks its ok to politicize and abuse such terms for their agenda, deserves no respect.

I guess that any settler in the West Bank who spits at a Palestinian would now be investigated for terrorism?

The rhetoric is truly insidious, as it strongly implies that an attack on an Israeli is worse than one on a Palestinian because the life or even just comfort of an Israeli is worth so much more.

Terrorism, like camp, is a spectrum.
Thats cute.

Christians have been victims of spitting attacks in Jerusalem for decades. No arrests.

One IDF officer gets spit on a bus and he's arrested for terrorism.

Seems like Israel applies the term "terrorism" for political reasons. And based on who the target is, Jew vs non-Jew.
