Trump's Second Term

Number 1: I have NEVER states that migrants have no rights.

Number 2: put on your Skeptics cap and look at the big picture surrounding this Mayor. If you think its totally beyond the realm of possibility he had some political motivations for this stunt, then you've got your head in the sand.
It was ICE that turned it into a stunt, if they had let him in with the members of congress like he wanted no one would have heard crap about it.

So how did he force them to do this to him?

Try to have some basic logic behind your positions, this might well have benefited his campaign and political career but if what he was after had happened it would have. So how can something that he had no control over have been his goal in the first place?

IF he wanted to be arrested to boost his political campaign leaving peacefully is not the way to do that. I guess the real one with the goal to boost his political career was ICE. Why did ICE want to boost his career?

You have evidence that ICE invited the Mayor? I'd love to see this.
It was provided, but you did not address it.

The mayor maintains that he was invited inside the perimeter by ICE officers and provided video evidence that they indeed opened the gate and allowed him to enter. Under occupancy law, that makes him an invitee, not a trespasser. The license under which an invitation is granted may be revoked, but that does not transform the prior occupancy into a trespass. When the mayor was arrested, he was on public property. The reason given was that he had been trespassing earlier.

He had no business being there, only members of Congress do. THEY have oversight authority over ICE facilities, not a local mayor.

According to one statute. The question is not whether one statute grants access, but whether some statute grants access.

THEY have oversight authority over ICE facilities, not a local mayor.
The permitting of the building is a local matter, and the city was granted standing to sue the building owner in court for it. The mayor is the chief executive officer of the city.

Ive seen no video evidence that ICE opened the gates for the group including the mayor. Repost it.

That's just your opinion, based on no logic or evidence. They were there to highlight facts about the illegalit and immorality of the operation. That's a pretty good reason.
When I say "business", I mean official business. Federal law allows members of Congress to engage in oversight of ICE facilities. NOT local mayors. They have no such authority.

Irrelevant, as he is not a building inspector.

Newark hires, trains and pays people to do this job.

Problem is this event is highly politically charged AND the mayor is running for governor and his poll numbers suck.

This is a skeptics forum after all...
This is a skeptics forum. That's a main driver for why your various outright weird arguments are getting so much pushback.

For example, the event has a very real political element to it? Sure! The openly intended political element to it was not at all reliant on provoking an arrest, though, and nor does the arrest seem to be at all legitimate or reasonable to have depended on happening (it fairly certainly wouldn't have happened to a Republican even when the Democratic Party is in charge, of course). Even if there is political capitalization on the events that actually then happened, that's not really evidence of what you are trying to pretend is the case.

The mayor was not attempting to enter the facility to engage in Congressional oversight.

Mayors have ultimate authority over compliance with building and occupancy requirements in their city.

“Costs are way down, groceries are way,” Trump began. “They have a term grocery. It’s an old term, but it means basically what you’re buying: food. It is a pretty accurate term, but it’s an old-fashioned sound, but groceries are down,”...
And it might even be true for some groceries. As long as we grow it. But everything else at Wal Mart is going up.
Tariffs on China are raising costs on electronics and toys, McMillon said, and some food costs are going up from tariffs on Costa Rica, Peru and Colombia.

The price hikes will begin later this month.
