Trump's Second Term

He said the same thing in 2020, even signed an executive order for "Most Favored Nation" pricing.
It went nowhere.
Pharma sued, prices stayed high.
I'm surprised that I have no recollection of that. Is there any reason to think his current sharpie emits stronger magic than his 2020 version did?
According to an earlier reference in the thread...

There is one difference between the situation back then and now... Biden signed the Inflation Reduction act, which had a provision that allowed Medicaid to negotiate certain prices. (It would be ironic if Trump actually tried to use a biden-era law to accomplish his "drug price reduction".)

Shhh... That's the quiet part they never say out loud.

And, as even a chimp could predict, the market loves the news.

DJIA +1,041.23 (+2.52%) today at this time.
Even though it's a positive for the economy, I hate the fact that it give The POSOTUS a Win, if only temporarily. Of course, he's going to tout it like he saved the world, not just the U.S.

When his cronies have taken their profit he will do something else to crash the Dow so they can do it again.

Trump to cut drug prices!
Why does this remind me of Trump's plan to "fix" hollywood by putting tariffs on foreign movies.

Vague statement with no real details about how he'll "accomplish" his goal. Observers can't really picture how he'll do things.

He doesn't care. MAGA crowd will cheer it and say he's the best President ever.

When the prices don't change it will all be blamed on Biden and Obama.

Just like they are cheering his $400 million Bribe from Qatar and saying the Democrats are traitors if they don't approve.

Are they?

Tariff agreement reached with China for 90 days.
Both countries have agreed to cut by 115%.
US tariffs on Chinese imports will fall to 30%, while Chinese tariffs on US goods will fall to 10%.

I think I have mentioned this before... but it always amazes me how... short-sighted stock market investors are.
- The deal is only for 90 days, so much uncertainty exists
- There are still significant tariffs in place
- The US is till run by a convicted felon who is such a poor businessman that he bankrupted multiple casinos

Yet they use the excuse of "he's hurting us less than he was yesterday" as a reason for a stock market rally.

"I think what happens with the plane is that we're very disappointed that it's taking Boeing so long to build a new Air Force One"

It's a ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ Being you cheese brained ◊◊◊◊.
The VC-25A is quite different from the 747-x00 that ordinary customers get when they order a luxury personal jet. Basically, Boeing just gives you an empty 747 airframe that you have customized by a different company (although sometimes in collaboration with Boeing). A VC-25A requires special tooling that is only for that airframe and special techniques that not everyone at Boeing is always fully trained on.
