General UK politics VIII - The Last Tory

The score so far.

Three Reform councillors have stepped down because they didn't know you can't be a council employee and a councillor at the same time.
Another stepped down because he's serving in the military so can't be a council member.
A deflection to independent and another expelled for not being loyal Forgot to add, one that never turned up.

Just to add, it seems there are several like the last one mentioned that have declined seats as they were just family members who were roped in to make up the numbers and unexpectedly won.

Given the number of headlines and articles about how Reform is now the only viable political party in the UK and should be the government I suspect these defections and resignations will be headlining the news!

And once again we do see how careful Reform is with their vetting of candidates.

Another one bites the dust

A Reform councillor has resigned just days after being elected, triggering a by-election process.
Des Clarke, of Reform UK, was elected to the Newark West division of Nottinghamshire County Council during last week’s local elections, on May 1.

However, less than a week later the party has confirmed the decision to step down from the council, with Mr Clarke stating he was “not in a position to represent the people of Newark West in the way they deserve, while at the same time continuing his career in social care, about which he is very passionate.”

Kemi isn't happy with the trade deal

When Labour negotiates, Britain loses.
We cut our tariffs - America tripled theirs. Keir Starmer called this ‘historic.’ It’s not historic, we’ve just been shafted!

Apparently the release of Tommy Ten names and all those jailed for being patriots last summer was part of the trade deal.

But Starmer won't tell you that, it's a secret.

Apparently Little Tommy's 'team' has removed the ‘silenced’ documentary from his page to avoid contempt of court, paving the way for his return home.

Remember this tomorrow when he says it's ◊◊◊◊

Brexit benefit ….

Lovely to see Keir basking in it … after he wanted second referendum 🤣

Of course he knows that if we were still part of the EU we wouldn't have had to worry so much about a deal.

And she would have denounced it if we hadn't signed the deal, Badenoch is just desperate to stop people thinking Nigel Farage is the leader of the opposition.
Don't know why she thinks she needs to try so hard. Farage is not opposition leader. He's just the managing director of a failing clown school.
