Trump's Second Term

Donald J. Trump
@realDonald Trump

What is wrong with NFL owners, are they STUPID? Deion Sanders was a great college football player, and was even greater in the NFL. He's also a very good coach, streetwise and smart! Therefore, Shedeur, his quarterback son, has PHENOMENAL GENES, and is all set for Greatness. He should be "picked" IMMEDIATELY by a team that wants to WIN. Good luck Shedeur, and say hello to your wonderful father!

How's the USFL doing, dumb ass?

Remember those stories about Nixon calling NFL coaches with unwanted advice (They turned out to not be true).

Maybe some of these teams know what they are doing.

Trump’s statement after the arrest of the Wisconsin judge:
“I expect the legal profession to understand that the nation is not here for them but they are here for the nation. From now on, I shall intervene in these cases and remove from office those judges who evidently do not understand the demand of the hour.”

I lied, that was Hitler in 1942.

Dead giveaway was that it was above a second-grade reading level.

Fine, but maybe there's a very slightly revised version of your current system where the president doesn't get a magic sharpie to write get out of jail free cards.
Oh, there are changes I would make.\
For one thing, term limits for congress. If congress critters knew they could not make a lifetime career out of elected office, they might make the occasional unpopular but necessary vote.
Get rid of the electorial college.
But the sad fact in a democracy..any democracy, you can only so go far to save voters from their own stupidity.

On a different direction than many of the other things noted, but also simultaneously utterly unsurprising and extremely bad -

Trump takes executive action targeting ActBlue, the main Democratic fundraising platform
ActBlue is widely considered one of the pillars of the Democratic Party’s digital ecosystem.

The accusations are brazenly spurious, of course. On the other hand, the Trump and co created WinRed is much more likely to be in flagrant violation when it comes to what he's accusing ActBlue of.

It's not like Trump actually opposes the stuff he's accusing ActBlue of, either way. To cite an easy example of him benefitting -

Here's a case from 2017, reported in 2022, where Trump got money from straw donors to be seen with Trump and an exclusive dinner. These were Chinese Americans funneling foreign money into Trump's campaign. Exactly the sort of thing he's accusing ActBlue of allowing.

From his Time interview.
He's serious about staying on

and it's a 'nasty' interview.

You recently said you were "not joking" about seeking a third term and that there were methods to do it. What methods?

I'd rather not discuss that now, but as you know, there are some loopholes that have been discussed that are well known. But I don't believe in loopholes. I don't believe in using loopholes.

You wouldn't run as vice president to J.D. Vance?

I don't know anything about, what, look, all I can say is this, I am being inundated with requests. I'm doing a good job. Great physical exam, and unlike every other president, I took the cognitive test and I aced it 100% and I bet you guys couldn't get 100% on that exam. It's a tough exam. You know, when you get into the mid questions, it gets to be pretty tricky and pretty tough, and the last questions are very tough, and I aced it. And I guarantee, I'd give you, I'd make a big, beautiful bet that you guys couldn't ace it. But anyway. But look, it's good to have you, it's a very nasty interview. They don't ask any of the good things.

You've talked about acquiring Greenland, taking control of the Panama Canal, making Canada the 51st state. Maybe you're trolling a little bit on that one. I don't know.

Actually, no, I'm not.

Does he pay any attention to anything that's happening?

Reporter: Mr. President, there was a car bomb in Moscow this morning that killed a Russian general. Do you have any reaction to that?

Trump: Who killed what?

Reporter: Russian general killed by a car bomb.

Trump: Well, well, you're just telling me that for the first time. Where did this take place?

Reporter: It took place in Moscow. It was a Russian general.

Trump: That's hitting close to home, right? That's a big one, yeah. I'll look at it. If I hear anything I'll let you know

SBA Administrator Kelly Loeffler claims small businesses like tariffs: "What I'm hearing from small businesses is they want that level playing field. They know this is a short-term situation that is gonna be replaced by a much brighter long term."

In just the board game industry, I think four or five companies have already shut down since the tariffs were implemented.
