Transwomen are not Women - Part 15

You didn't follow anything through. You simply ignored the point which YOU didn't find convenient.

But you don't want to retain it. You want to abandon it in favor of unisex or single occupancy spaces.
No, I acknowledged it's a valid point. Although smarter ways of dealing with a pushy guy would be preferable.

But I'm frankly bored out of my skull with fig leaf arguments. You and others have stated your positions, and their immutability.

When you can't argue the merits, insult the motives.
Whatever. Doesn't change that people are uncomfortable with a certain group of people and they are discriminating against them. Just as they have done based on religion, race and sexual preference. Nothing new about this. Been going on since apes began walking on twoo feet. Probably longer.

At least you're not gassing them. But with people like Trump at the helm, give it a minute.

Your stubborn inability to understand what people are actually saying in this thread is astounding.

Well, I am perfectly comfortable in the company of transgender people thank you very much. My pub quiz group includes a transwoman (who is incidentally the "go-to" member for classical art and classical music questions). Jaimie has been a member of our team for nearly ten years. Also, I employed a transwoman in my business several years ago. These are just normal people to me, it is/was in no way awkward or difficult for me to interact with them or treat them as such.

Just remember before you go spouting off falsehoods, and attaching unjustified labels to people....

Supporting women's rights does not make you a bigot, a transphobe or a Nazi.
Accepting the objective, observable scientific reality that sex is binary does not make you a bigot, a transphobe or a Nazi.
Advocating for sex-segregated spaces based on biological sex does not make you a bigot, a transphobe or a Nazi.
Recognizing that biological males have no place in a women's refuge or shelter does not make you a bigot, a transphobe or a Nazi.
Believing that biological males have no business competing in women's sports does not make you a bigot, a transphobe or a Nazi.
Considering that biological male prisoners ought not be housed in women's prisons does not make you a bigot, a transphobe or a Nazi.

Breach of rule 0 and rule 12
We've studied transwomen, and found them to have brain activity that resembles that of women. We don't have transracial patterns to compare, because they kinda don't exist.

<SNIP> For rule 0 and rule 12.

As for the studies you are referring to, they are inconclusive at best, and misleading at worst.

Transwomen attracted to men were found to have brain activity more similar to gay men than ciswomen, but transwomen attracted to women showed no such brain activity. Also, no control study was done - i.e. they did not compare transwomen's brain activity with that of cismen, so we don't know if cismen also exhibit the same brain activity. The lack of a control group makes any results totally meaningless. Its like taking a glass of water from the ocean. and upon finding your glass contains no fish, concluding thre are no fish in the ocean.

The couple of studies I have seen look very much like researchers setting out to get the result they wanted either by dismissing the results that didn't fit, or not doing the tests and comparisons they knew might not give them the results they wanted.

Oh for crying out loud.

There are no doubt people on this thread who will be clutching their pearls at this, but I LOLed.

I love this writer's turn of phrase..
"They’re raging about the ‘fascism’ of no longer being allowed to get their knobs out in the women’s changing room."
"Their Adam’s apples are getting a mighty fine workout as they wail into the void about being ‘erased’ by ‘transphobes’. It’s the sound of men being stripped of their entitlements by women who’ve had enough of their crap, and I am so here for it."
"It used to be alt-right wankers who called feminists ‘feminazis’. Now it’s nonbinary wankers. Two cheeks of the same arse."
"The sight of angry men bashing their keyboards in fury at the uppity bitches who went to the Supreme Court has exposed the truth about the trans lobby – it’s a men’s rights movement in drag."

This is not the case: https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-019-00677-x and the recent book https://www.amazon.co.uk/Gendered-Brain-neuroscience-shatters-female/dp/1847924751 for example.

But even if it was the case, it still wouldn't support allowing biological males into female single-sex spaces.

That's curious because womenwomen don't talk about punching their opponents, but transwomen certainly talk about punching anybody who disagrees with them.

That's curious because I have heard some of each who do, and some of each who don't. But no: uniform behaviors, dontchano. This thread is a gold mine of information.

@acbytesla Genuine serious question for you:

If females do not need or merit single sex spaces for the reason of modesty, or dignity, or safety... then why exactly do some males need access to spaces that exclude other males? For what reason do you think transgender identified males should be given a space that excludes males that are not transgender identified?
@acbytesla is unwilling to answer this question because from his perspective, it's unanswerable short of a concession.

We were not talking about different brains. We were talking about recognizable activity within those brains.
But even if it was the case, it still wouldn't support allowing biological males into female single-sex spaces.
Agreed. We were comparing with the alleged transracial folks, not about justifying access.

From the article: "Dude, it’s not fascism to say women should be free to seek rape counselling without fearing there’ll be a weirdo in a boob tube listening in."

I'm sure you LOLed at calling transwomen who want to help rape victims 'weirdos'. A lot of people wouldn't have, no matter where they stood on this issue.

ETA: You repost frequently from Spiked. Media Bias rates this particular site as far right and of mixed credibility for factual reporting, denying global warming among other thoughtful positions. While you cant really call them lying nazis, they certainly are trying!

A man who pretends to be a woman and then wants to provide counselling to female rape victims who have requested a female counsellor is far worse than a weirdo. He's a predator. He should be in jail.

I get the humor, but it's also a bit of an unjustified slur against men's rights.
