Trump's Second Term

On a side note, I honestly don't get what the fascists have against wind power. Sure, they kill (comparatively few) birds, but it's not as if they care about nature, and wind farms can bring in a profit just like coal. Is it just virtue signaling to pander (to use their words) to their cult?
And they don't kill birds anyway. No, this is the work of the coal-and-gas lobbyists who paid for Trump's campaign. They are eliminating the competition, regardless of the cost to the nation. It's the quo for the quid.

They kill large birds. There have been attempts to make the turbines more visible to birds. The blade at its tip moves too fast for birds to avoid it. Meanwhile, tall buildings in big cities kill all the song birds that are headed for them. Hundreds per building per week.

Awwwwwwwww......... poor birdees.

For Trump himself that's literally all it is. He thinks the offshore wind farm which can be seen from his Scottish golf course is an eyesore and (most importantly) they didn't cancel the project when he objected. So windmills are evil and stupid and kill birds and give you cancer.

Well, they do actually kill birds, but not at anything like the alarmist rates opponents claim. Climate change will kill off plenty of birds but it's probably a thought crime to say that exists.
Alternately formulated... They do kill birds. Just at a rate dramatically lower than the alternates that the people making a big deal out of that are pushing do. Hence, the complaint should be interpreted as being that not enough birds are being killed. Bird haters.

Donald sends Harvard letter making stupid demands.

Donald now says it was sent by accident.

Donald blames Harvard for reacting to the letter he sent.

Harvard says the letter “was signed by three federal officials, placed on official letterhead, was sent from the email inbox of a senior federal official and was sent on April 11 as promised. Recipients of such correspondence from the U.S. government, even when it contains sweeping demands that are astonishing in their overreach, do not question its authenticity or seriousness.
It remains unclear to us exactly what, among the government's recent words and deeds, were mistakes or what the government actually meant to do and say. But even if the letter was a mistake, the actions the government took this week have real-life consequences on students and employees and the standing of American higher education in the world."

Trump Officials Blame Mistake for Setting Off Confrontation With Harvard
An official on the administration’s antisemitism task force told the university that a letter of demands had been sent without authorization.

The Trump boys shoot more birds in a hunting session than wind-turbines kill in a year.

The biggest killer of birds here is not our wind turbines. It's feral cats, natural predators, and habitat removal. But certainly, if you wait long enough, one or two birds will nest on top of a turbine, grow old and die, and fall to the ground at its base.

But we are off-topic.
